Nice. I'll have to ask my daughter if she wants extra handles on hers.

Thank you, looks like I got the same model kayak and was wondering where to put the new side handles.

put them wherever they will be convenient for you to access

i feel like putting the fasteners on the inside of the handle rather than the outside, puts more stress on the screw and will be more likely to pull out.

so far they have held up

If I have a sit on top kayak and can't access the underside but want to add handles. Do I have to use rivets or are screws strong enough?
@WJHandyDad3 жыл бұрын
That's a really good question! Since you are concerned, the rivets would probably be the way to go.

The second handle at the end of the video, I-have the same ones bit didnt install them yet. Will just the screws they came with be enough for my 60 lbs kayak? How much does yours weigh?
@WJHandyDad3 жыл бұрын
I'm guessing mine are around the same weight. And the handles are still attached and working fine to this day, so my guess is they'd work fine for you. Let all of us know how it works for you.

I've been hearing that rivets make poor anchors for kayaks. Anyone have input on this?
@WJHandyDad4 жыл бұрын
the handles I installed are still holding strong

@@WJHandyDad That's good. Mine is sealed so I'd have to do some cutting otherwise. Thanks!
