Kayaks, camping, and steaks! It looked like a fun and relaxing trip. Most of our spring weather has been cold and rainy up north in my area.

Back in high school (and in college too), I worked as a cook, and my hiking buddies and I cooked some awesome food on the trail . . . But no longer, unfortunately. I want to get back into that . . .

I love this place too. P cola is a Great place. Love the funny sun blocker hat. I remember that from last time. I was going to go Sat down my river here in the Kayak but this 4 days of rain is got the river way too high. Thanks for sharing Man. Have fun be careful.

Haha Yes, a lot of UFO sitings around there. Maybe because the Naval Air station is close by. I grew up in that area but I'll have to say I've never seen one.

Hahaha, Neither of our dumbasses brought a fork, so we improvised with the tortillas. Actually, I might eat my steak like that again. It was really good, especially with that cheese. I really do like the grill it's perfect for short hikes, car, and kayaking camping.

I agree! I have camped there in my younger years and it's always been a fun location. We didn't get to go to the Fort that's nearby. The wind was horrendous

We moved from Florida back in August and this really made me miss it. Camping on the beach is definitely a different experience compared to backpacking up in the mountains.

Oh! Man the shit got real! the next night. We ran out of wine on night one and had to go to the IPA's and whiskey we had stashed for day two. Oh and a big ass slab of Tavern ham I grilled up. I killed a pig and gutted it, only it was way too bloody for me to video, you know with kids watching my videos and all.

Not sure how much money you want to spend or if you are willing to spend anything but the Nikon CoolPix is a pretty nice camera for that kind of stuff, shockproof,waterproof. it's pretty rugged and takes very good video and photos. I took it on this particular trip, It's a great backup camera. I chose it over the GoPro any day! Mine is the Nikon Coolpix Aw120. I think they have a newer model. but the AW120 on amazon now is $288

The trees he hung at were the only dang trees around. I have camped there numerous times when I was younger and new trees were sparse. Next time, though I'll be hanging. When the storm blew through I felt very exposed.

I am really stoked for an overnight trip to one of the islands north of the Dunedin Causeway. Swampcamper and I did one about 7 years ago where we grilled salmon and shrimp on a driftwood fire. Prior to that, I used to go out with a now-departed pal and his crew, and we had many a stormy night where the campfire washed away and tents buckled. Good times! One thing I have decided is that tent-makers are in a conspiracy, and always add an extra body to the capacity to jack up prices. Now if Scarlett Johansson wanted to share my 2-man...SURE!
