Back in the 80's and early 90's the Frio was such a great place to go. It was still off the radar for the most part. It never felt crowded. Sadly this place has become too popular and half the time the water is a little too shallow.

Would love to have like a time of devotion/testimonies with them after few hours of paddling and preparing for camp. Great 👍 job man on the encouragement

First adventure I took my wife on was an overnight backpack in Smokey Mountain NP. It started raining when we reached the campsite. Torrential downpour all night. Tent leaked. Woke up in water. Finally packed up in the rain and hiked out. Didn't stop raining for two days hahaha. She never went backpacking again. But loves day trips hiking and paddling.

Another great video, thanks Gatewood! Great job Lisa! I convinced my wife to go camping when we were first married, after promising her "sure, you can shower every morning." By that I meant, go jump in the river and wallow around in the shallows. I didn't know at the time that fish pooping in the river was a major issue for her. Oh well. We're still married and now I get to take the grandkids camping -- just in the backyard, for now. Enjoy your adventurous life together!

Thank you, Mike! Hey, that's my version of a shower out on the river haha. I jumped in before bed to scrub off and she was like gross! I'm sure your grand kids love the camping adventure even if it is just in the back yard for now.
