been fishing that bridge area off and on since 1973.....used to keep our new 1972 Glastron at Lakeside Marina.....boat ramp dry storage next to the water, hookup the trailer ad back straight in, it was an OUTRAGIOUS $100 A MONTH.....today you can't get a gated open air parking spot for that.. Live in Lewisville now (used to live in Garland) but been meaning to get over there and hit the old spots with my Kayak..... great video!!!!!

I went to ray Roberts yesterday missed 3 fish on minnows and I caught some gills
@BarFlyFishingTexas4 жыл бұрын
Roberts is tough, because there’s just too much timber, and not every bit of it is holding fish.

For the hybrids you should fish south of the lake right around the I-35 bridge next to Bass pro shops you will have some great luck there for those wipers and also don't forget to use large size minnows for em they will hit them like crazy!!!👍👍

Is it normal for your yak to have that much water in it?
@BarFlyFishingTexas4 жыл бұрын
What I didn’t show, was that rain storm hit, The wind and whitecaps were funneling through that bridge, I turned my back to it and the waves were breaking over the back of my kayak filling up my foot wells. Doesn’t bother me, so I don’t try to get it out.
@carlitosbcglobal4 жыл бұрын
BarFly Fishing Texas ahhh thanks for that, good to know these modern yaks can take a punch and keep going.

@@BarFlyFishingTexas you need to go to Benbrook with your livescope I heard the strippers and hybrids are heavy on an sunken bridge that no one knows about. A guy I know went out there with his fishing buddy and found it on the 360. I also heard there's a sunken house out there to that's full of crappie. If I was you I would download Google Earth pro on your computer and go back and see when the water was low and set your wave points and convert it and put it on an SD card and load it up on your depth finder. I've learned that watching bass fishermen on KZbin and that's what they use to find under water structure. If you go in the far southeast side of the lake there's under water pillars from an old bait shop and crappie are stacked up on that. Use that Google Earth pro to your advantage to see what's really out there on these lakes.
