Gunner, I was a teacher and I think Richard is a GREAT teacher. Each video has an objective and a plan. I have learned so much from him and enjoy watching his videos multiple times because they are so filled with information and tips. Also, he really doesn’t waste a lot of time getting his points across. I think I could name at least 25 major things I have learned from him. And he is funny, as well as humble and smart.

My pop is a retired carpenter and avid fisherman. His hands were as nasty as 80 grit sandpaper. I've noticed early videos you have those same rough and cracked hands. But now I see they are looking better. I know what that signifies and I am so very happy for you, Richard.

Not comparing you based on age at all, but the way you talk when you fish reminds me of my grandpa. Same EXACT sense of humor and same sense of appreciation of the great outdoors. He served honorably in WW2 and he's the one who got me into fishing. We shared many amazing fishing trips together before the Good Lord took him home. When I think about him and start missing him I come to watch your videos. Keep doing what you do, sir.

Richard, your fishing videos remind me of why I first got in to fishing a long long time ago. It was because it was fun. Competitive fishing can be too, but a lot of times, it puts stress into it that takes the relaxation out and watching you reminds me of what it's actually for. Thank you for that. It would be really great to fish with you. Even more than any great and famous tournament guys.

Have you ever noticed how people who are really truly professionals at something can make every little detail look so easy? Mr. Gene does it in every video. I love watching for that very reason. @turdferguson53002 жыл бұрын
Richard something I learned probably 40 years a go was to rub a new jig body on a crappie that was in the live well. I guess it neutralized the factory smell. Dad and I were fishing and every time an old jig would get torn up it would take a while to start catching on a new jig body. If I rubbed my new jig body on a crappie it'd work immediately. If they made scent sprays back then we didn't have them. I still have the Lowe boat w/ white Johnson 40 in the basement that we were in that day.
