Just up my street, wild camping and fishing. Don't worry about picture quality as someone mentioned as it is fine and in my mind the subject matter is the most important and you certainly cracked that . Thanks for putting the time and effort in 😊 Graeme

Mint, been a lure angler for many years, been a hammock camper for a few years, been a kayak angler on and off…these videos are inspiring me to bring it all together! You seriously need to try a down underquilt, absolutely game changing. Chinese water deer or Muntjac deer barking👍

Do it! It's a great feeling and better if you eat what you catch rather than pot noodles🤣 I reckon you're right about the under, a sleep mat is warm enough but easy enough to slide off it.

You do not know the inspiration that you are to someone like me, I've had a shit 2 years mate, to help myself I got back into fishing, coarse and sea, bought myself a kayak, I love that, but I paddle out regardless of fishing I just paddle out till I can hear nothing of this world we live in, sometimes I just sit for hours listening to nothing less my own heart beat, you remind me of me when I was younger, I'm almost 60 now, and have been beaten into submission by life itself, I love you're channel, it has reignited my fire, and for that I thank you, everything you do, I used to do, and I promise you even at 60 I am going to do again, thanks to you 😉 I'm not you're usual 60 year old mind you, I am 59, see like I'm 29, act like I'm 29, look probably I'd say 38 🤣🤣 I still work hard so never seem to find the time, but believe me I will find the time, thank you so much.

Hi mate, I've not looked through the comments but that noise you were hearing at 22:20 is a Roe Deer bark, alarm bark. I hunt deer and hear this all the time.
@SlippyLimpets3 жыл бұрын
Most people thought it was a fox but I wasn't sure. I heard some crazy noises at night and all I could find, in terms of the noise, was a Sika deer. Seems if that was a Roe deer then there seems to plenty of deer about this area!

Slippy walks into Cotswolds and says to the Assistant “I’ll take it”. The Assistant looks confused and replies “sorry sir, take what?”. “Everything” 👍🏻 Awesome video mate, a proper adventure, loved all the different aspects of it, kit talk, setting up camp and of course the fishing. Quick question. I haven’t caught one, but someone told me that sea trout are a better fighting fish than Bass. Have you caught one and if so, what is your opinion? Stay safe and take more water next time or purification tablets 👍🏻
@SlippyLimpets4 жыл бұрын
Haha, it does look like that on the video but I've been going wild camping for years so have most of the kit already. Only thing that is new is the hammock. Eyup Nathan. You're clearly a seasoned outdoorsman and it looks like you've got almost every bit of kit you might want to poke a stick at there but if you truly wish to have it comfortably large by land and sea you need to get 'Badger-off!' This is an app that plays a loud but subsonic audio loop of lairy squirrels taunting a seasick weasel that they've tied to a long wobbly spring for the afternoon in the squirrel embassy basement. It successfully shoos away our monochromatic mustelid friends three seasons out of four and is particularly effective at sea. 'Sika Sickener' is undergoing product development but the squirrels want more money. Early assessments with a Muntjak in an Imax cinema showing 'Gordon's Bumper Fun Scottish Game Special' are ongoing and tests with a Dik-Dik up a pole surrounded by Chihuahuas will not be legal until after brexit but are showing promise. Keep that quiet. That Bass was mint of course and thanks for the epic adventure - David Lean would b proud. I'll sithi after, Dave
@SlippyLimpets4 жыл бұрын

Theres no such thing as 'wild camping' unless you have permission, all found on my land get a shotgun reception, nice piccies and a summons. We are being plagued by this in Northumberland, be aware if caught you will be evicted and fined, and we all keep a very close watch on you anyway. Get a campsite, you have now filmed yourself doing something illegal silly boy, this includes camper vans in laybys, our cops love an easy nick at 0300 lol.
@SlippyLimpets3 жыл бұрын
@DavidOldboy54 I'm from Northumberland and totally get your point, the number of people and litter has skyrocketed in our county since the pandemic began. However, this trip was actually filmed in Scotland, which according to the Scottish Outdoor Access Code, and is perfectly legitimate especially since I asked the landowner for permission beforehand. The reason I don't give away locations is to avoid overcrowding because of the so-called influencer effect. Unfortunately, because of your comment, I've now had to publish the general location.
@davidoldboy54253 жыл бұрын
@@SlippyLimpets sorry mate but it is now out of control since the end of lockdown. Kielder area especially suffering, illegal camp fires and rubbish. All of you note we deal with this severely in Northumberland, get a camp site or suffer the consequences if caught.
