Watching you fight the Goliath and the way it was behaving and WHERE you are... I knew... I knew the men in gray suits were around... You can actually get ate there... Like Kayak and all, that is Jurassic park sir... Had quite a few fish eaten literally from my hands lol. You are brave... There is an 18 foot Hammer that likes to roam that area and they play for keeps... Be safe and careful.

wow! I’m dead after a couple of miles, can’t believe you fished as heavy as you did AND peddled (if my math is correct) 14+ miles! You’re incredible dude! Almost had another shark episode let’s not forget eh? We have the great white sharks here in the California central coast, so far no problem…….yet. Love the vids, well done!
@miamiwax55042 жыл бұрын
Yeah that's easy 2.5 hours each way not including fishing. Maybe even worse if the current is ripping.

I’m 73 years old, and it doesn’t take much anymore to wear me out, been kayaking since 1994 and really don’t have any reason to stop now, watching you young guys constantly raising the bar keeps me thinking young, tight lines!

Nice shot of Fred...mighty he grows!...dontcha just love vis...I knew you'd pull up a goliath...& the big boy chasing it..some big monsters lurking around there...maybe it was Big Mo!...waiting to just pounce on your catch...tight lines...🤙...

I mean to be killed by a shark on a kayak is pretty unlikely, for someone to hang up their fishing rod because of that you have to be a pretty big Puss Wuss

Having fished it many times, that 7 mile bridge is an awesome piece of fish structure. Ya just never know what’s lurking beneath the surface there. Great fishing!

Epic nicely done (just do half way trips) First of all the opening sequence was awesome and the place was crawling with fish.. Great action Big grouper that shark also looked big good thing it wasn't hungry, really good all around action I like those lures you have I'm partial to surface (shallow) rapala and the popper as well (those have been good to me)
@justinlovett82972 жыл бұрын
Watching the drone footage was crisp and clear. The 7 mile bridge is an accomplishment in it self to go back in a single day while fishing and trolling. That’s a feat in its own. Catching Goliath groupers are long and straining endurance especially when they take you in structures like around that bridge. Waiting patiently for them to come out. Saving them from being eaten by a shark that was epic. I was completely stoked about ramp you launched your kayak from. In Spring of 2014 I pulled in my first 4ft. nurse shark on that exact spot. After removing my hook and every other hook that was in the shark’s mouth. The release was just as smooth. Love the material in your videos. Don’t know if you can reveal the artist/song singing in the beginning of your video. My wife asked me if you could. We both watch and dream of returning every year. Thanks for sharing your experiences on KZbin it is much appreciated!

Damn Rich! One of your Canadian followers here: dude your kayak/Keys videos are THE BEST out there! You and Sammy Davis Jr, the hardest working men in show biz! Great video. Hit a couple of those places with a guide this summer. Way too hot and not much happening. Heading to marathon thanksgiving week '23. Bringing the hobies so distance/tides no issues (used to the big tides here in Savannah)). Normally throw medium action 6'6", 20lb braid/fluoro leader. For the paddle tails/swim baits, is that stout enough? Also, any places you recommend that may produce easy/small fish for when I take the wife or kids out? Thanks !!
