2 years ago this wouldn't have even been a problem. Since then I've been diagnosed with MS. So now, lifting and stability issues come into play. I'm currently 59 in somewhat good shape considering the MS issues. This video will help me out in my final decision!

After watching this well done video and several other videos, it seems to me the best kayak lift system for tall vehicles (and heavy kayaks) is the Thule Hullivator.....Very expensive though at about $800 currently...and you need cross bars that extend 4 inches out over the side of your vehicle. Thanks again for a well done video !!

Hi Dave. Thanks for the tutorial. I have the older Malone version with the suction cups. A suggestion to load your kayak with the cockpit facing toward you, so you don't have to flip it at the top, you just slide it onto the rack. Happy paddling!

This video is the greatest, very helpful on making my decision! I can't thank you enough... On a side note: You should be narrating Documentaries, National Geographic or Discovery Channel.

This is what I needed - I have been looking on Amazon and did not want to spring for 2 Hullivators but then see people saying the Malone is not long enough for an SUV - I often take my daughter kayaking so I end up loading two Kayaks on roof by myself - was hard enough when I had a Jeep Compass but upgraded to 4runner - at a towering 5ft 3in I don't even want to attempt no lift assist on the 4runner because it will end badly - I am use to carrying a ladder every time I use the roof rack (even on the Compass I did that).

Mr. Clark thank you for the illustration. I have a 2018 F150 this will work just right. Plus I noticed your cross bars as well. We have been rv’ing for about a year and have to leave our kayaks at home until I sell my trailer. Plus I wonder how heavy this system will allow. Thank you sir. Travel Well Sir.

Oof, this would not work with a 90 lb kayak. Thank you for the review. I gave you a like/thumbs up because you did a great job narrating it and showing up the differences between the old version and the new version. Great job!

Thanks for this demo! VERY hard to find tall vehicles using these systems, I am thinking I also will need to haul a ladder in my work truck (2020 Chevy Silverado) even though I'm 5'10"! (I mean, for a lady... that's tall hehe!)

My wife and I have two kayaks we load on top of our F150 Camper shell. I snagged a roof rack off a wrecked Ford Escape and mounted it on the camper. We'll get the Thule Hullavator pro when the time comes. Loading them with two people is still doable, but in the future it's be worth the investment to save out backs.

As of 6/23/2021 they appear to be on backorder due to COVID just about everywhere, including Malone's own website where their list price is $429. Over at Campsaver.com they're taking backorders at $350, with free shipping. Here's the link: www.campsaver.com/malone-telosxl-load-assist-module.html?_iv_code=32A-CMA-TLSX-MPG351XL&gclid=CjwKCAjwt8uGBhBAEiwAayu_9VVJo8_tTV7w_IHa-zFaBdsPNJrZ5IAeMHf6DD0_TVS90xs4gGJzFxoCPlEQAvD_BwE

The Malone Kayak lift assist sucks something terrible. I have one and I hate it. It is heavy, gangly, hard to store, too big to bring with, and most of all difficult to use. Unlike this video, the lifters do not slide like it shows here. It is Very difficult to use. All things considered, I would not recommend it. I scratched the side of my car something terrible with this Malone device. It is one of the worst products I have ever owned of all time.
