at 60, trying to lengthen my back's health...thanks! I have a Hobie pro angler and hate to use up all my truck bed space. Thanks for being humble enough to show the mishaps:)

Thanks for doing the video. I now have a Taco and was going to get a new one but the new prices on the 2024s are stupid. I am looking at a Grand Highlander and they don't make the hullivator for it yet. But this one looks like it will work. Thanks again.

I just got one. For my GMC Canyon. Then realized I had to buy racks for bed of truck. But yes I think I’ll love it

Wow and I thought my boat was big at 12ft and 80 lbs. Looks like the way to go on my FURD 150. One tip besides wearing a helmet and looking the wrong way, add a piece of rope approx the length of the boat from the rear cleat to the rack so if you pull too hard it wont slip too far and break your rear window on the shell. Thanks for posting, looks like it will make my life easier when I like you dont want to tow my trailer

Mine should be coming in this week to load my PA 12 on top of my Subaru Forester. Thanks for the video

LOL, I'll never complain about loading my Kilroy ever again! Also, long time no cyber see, glad I came across your channel...bought my Kilroy several years ago based on your vids. I've since mounted Boondocks Groovy with an anchor wizard just behind the seat, and made a mini-dash that keeps the cockpit open and lets me mount Scotty outriggers if I want to stand. Best all around yak IMO, thanks for the help!

Thanks for the video!!! Glad that the Rhino rack T-load works well with your Ram. I'm older and short with a tall Chevy Silverado. I've been looking for a system to help get my 13ft Old Town Predator on my truck and it looks like T-load may work for me. Again, thanks for the video. I'm sorry you hit your head, but please know that those of us that watched your video won't make that mistake!

Still look8ng at making a rack to go above cab with no topper and then lower rear rack to get the kayak up above my work tool boxes and maybe use skate board rollers to mount on the rear ladder rack part , even I just made rear one lower the only issue I think I would have is kayak rolling off while I’m getting it tied down .

Nice , I'm using the Rhino Universal side Loader.

Does your roof racks have a rubber strip down the middle of the crossbars? If you do, I think that’s what’s causing your rig not to slide on/off as easy. With my old racks, I found that strip got “stickier” the more I loaded and unloaded my rig (wearing down that top layer).
@ChrisFunktheFeralOne2 жыл бұрын
It does, and will be removed shortly! On the old rack I U bolted a longer bar on top for extra width and it sits nicely in that groove where the rubber is.

they definitely have their good times, but there are times they are a hassle. that is why this is good for the option when i need to travel lighter.

Hey there. My rudder sticks out like yours. Any issues putting the yaks weight on it when loading and unloading?
@ChrisFunktheFeralOne2 жыл бұрын
i try my best not to put full weight on that area, it is only 4 screws holding that onto the boat.

I have a rope with a hook on either end that attaches to to stern and the hitch. This helps me to get the kayak set quickly and accurately every time. The biggest advantage: the rear of the kayak won’t slide back while loading/unloading.

great tip! i was wondering how to do that if i was on an incline. thank you for that!

Thanks for sharing🤝🏼. I got my T-Loader coming in tomorrow. I'm wondering if you have learned anything else or "Tips" you would want to share if you did a update video to help us newbies, Now that you are more comfortable with using over the time period from this video? 🙂

it definitely helps to be on as level ground as possible! for those taller than me, it probably isn't an issue, but for me i need all the extra height i can get so if i am downhill from the truck it makes it tough. other than that, i did get a hitch extender that i added so i can lower my tailgate with the T load installed. not sure if other trucks have issues, but my RAM would not let the tailgate all the way down with the "normal" length of it, even with it let all the way back.

Great vid, Thanks. I noticed that your boat was getting close to your electrical service wiring when you were loading and unloading the boat. Watch out. you definitely don't want to be touching that in case there is an uninsulated place on the wire. Since the boat is plastic you would probably be ok, but you know, just be aware.

Ok I am now convinced t by a lil trailer n pull it behind my truck , it seems easier for a fishing kayak of any good size . For a lite weight one ok .
@ChrisFunktheFeralOne8 ай бұрын
All depends on how I am running, my trailer is definitely easier, but there are times I need the mobility more than convenience. This rig allows me to put boats well over 100lbs on top pretty quickly.

Are you the legendary Chris Funk from the Jackson Kayak Channel??? How do you like this rack? Still using it? Do you really need the straps? You were STILL huffin and puffin! I use a yak trailer right now but I am considering a camper and going fulltime nomad so I'm looking for ways to roof load my kayak on my truck cap. I subscribed! Your turn 😀
@ChrisFunktheFeralOne9 ай бұрын
don't know bout legendary, but yessir, one in the same! i still use this one for sure! whenever i am not running my trailer i use it. especially on these bigger boats. the take 2 is about 107 lbs so it makes it manageable for me without hurting myself!

I think a "V" roller (pipes with bearings inside) foam covered should be much better ....

Easier with it, but NOT easy.

Guess it depends on our definition of easy, I have done MUCH worse getting things on top of the truck LOL
