That Large Mouth was phenomenal! That would have been my dinner - filleted and dipped in cornmeal batter and fried up in olive oil and a dash of seasoned salt on an open fire in a skillet pan.

I got two packs of hellgys in the mail today -- never tried em before. Second cast I hooked up with a legal size, way back in his throat. Second fish swiped and missed my frog, so I threw a hellgy upstream in the rocks, landed him -- about the same size. Ended up breaking off on a rock, but it was worth $1 for two fish LOL. Definitely impressed with the material -- it's not like elaZtech -- it kind of gets this pearled slime-film on it after it's been in the water a while, so I just let them hold it in their mouth for two counts and got a full reel set on em, Gama 1/0 stinger buried back by the crushers. This might end up being the only bait I target brown bass with all summer, it's that good. It's a lot easier than trudging through the water, kicking up rocks, and seine netting for the real thing and works just as good! True believer, now.

Man that look's fun. I gotta get out on the Mississippi and try that. But I was born and raised in Milwaukee and I have caught some giant smallmouth and trout. I know great lake's fish are bigger but I've still found some nice spots in western Wisconsin that have some pretty big trout. Opening weekend I caught and released a 24.75in brown trout that I probably should have put on the wall and lost one that was all of 28in. Great video, those were some some nice fish you caught.

Very, very nice video. Now, I want to praise you for downsizing the power of the rod. By doing so, I don't believe (as some are saying) that you're catching less fish. What I do believe I that you're giving the fish a chance for a big fight, and therefore increasing your fan/emotion. It is really nice to see the rod bending while the fish fights.
