Looking back at an amazing day on sea water, sea kayaking together with my cousin Beatrice and her friend Tiina in the Inkoo archipelago, southern Finland, using a Sea Lion Aquarius sea kayak. September 2022.

Technical note: I mention in the video that it was my first time paddling in the Finnish archipelago, although actually the day before I paddled around/near Helsinki and the islands outside the city with my Itiwit X500 kayak - the archipelago actually starts directly next to the city! In this case, I'm referring to archipelago areas as in a bit further out or a full day trip.

Basically always 🙂 Still, this one is actually not the best I've seen while paddling.. the best one was probably actually in Stockholm city, with clouds and atmospheric conditions creating a full "red" sunset with all the open water reflecting orange/red/pink. Still haven't quite seen anything like it after that. Happy Easter btw!

Simply beautiful! I've seen those jellyfish here in San Diego CA. The water really was a mirror. Love the reflection of the kayaks on the water. That black Sea Lion kayak is sweet!

Nice! Yes, I have encountered jellyfish before while sea kayaking, but over here, they were everywhere in huge numbers! Only a tiny amount can be seen in the footage. Yes, the kayak is a nice all-rounder! And I did enjoy the reflections tremendously. I have of course come across absolute flatwater many times, but rarely in an area like this and with that view.

Glad you recognized it! And yes, that still finds me in awe after each paddle, something new always appearing. In your case it's easier perhaps as the water level keeps shifting vertically! To have the same experience, I would have to install a mechanical lift under my kayak seat 😂

@@THE-RIVER-RAT Hehe. With all the high water levels you have, you'd need one to push your kayak down into the water and elevate a periscope instead..

@@AirOnTheWater It's almost back to normal again, you will see in a few days as I will be on the water tomorrow however, I'm going to launch from further up because I think there may be a lot of people out, and some jet skis no doubt. But at least I can get the dry suit off, however, I'm switching to the two peace (A bit lighter and cooler but still keep me dry) because as you know the waters still bloody cold. But I bet I see the T-shirt paddlers out as it's going to be a warm day.
