Great catch. That Gulf Stream brings all the varieties around. Don't hear too many of those caught too often. Extremely rare down here in the Keys.

what license do you need in florida to fish for yellowfin tuna?

Go nzo you just need a salt water license to fish for them but you need an HMS permit to harvest it.

Awesome rare catch! Just curious, what was your INTENDED target with that bait? Mahi or wahoo? Did you use a circle? And what month? I never see them down here.

Sailfish, Mahi, Tuna, Wahoo, King Mackerel are the most common catches in our waters. But in the winter and spring months Yellowfin Tuna do migrate through. So right place right time its definitely a possibility in hooking one. This was caught on a wire stinger rig.
