I like the 4 hours because like you said. I can break it up over several days and don't have to wait to see a 15 min. video. Its like watching a 30 min. or hour fishing show with the behind the scenes stuff that would be edited out on TV without commercials. I pay the extra for no advertisements for your show and movies, money well spent.

Hello Mr Kayak catfishing, my name is Thomas and I want to say I have been watching you and river certified for I think close to two years and you both have inspired me to Kayak fish. I will post something similar on his channel as well but you sir get to be first because you were the first to inspire me to Kayak fish. So I got my first Kayak almost a year or 2 ago. I am not sure of dates and times but I have had it a while and got my second one at least a year ago. Now thing is I have never took either one out ro the water until today. You see I live in Oklahoma and we have been lacking water and of cours3 I am unemployed so part of me thinks it's unfair that I go enjoy myself fishing when I have so many chores to do at home. So yes I do t indulge much in the good life. But today at 5pm I said what the heck I am going to Kayak. Now I think I mention we have not had a rain especially a good one I a very long time. So I put my Kayak in my van and made my way to the lake which is about 6 miles from my house. And now comes the story of my first Kayak fishing. On the way there about 3 miles from the spot I wanted to start my adventure I hear a very loud noise coming from my van. I was like you got to be kidding. My catalytic converter broke free of my exhaust line. I say screw it I am still going to Kayak. And I back down the boat ramp and pull my Kayak and all my gear out the van. I take the van back to the top of the hill and walk down push the Kayak into the water and get on it. This is my sit on top Kayak. No its not a fancy one. It's a Wal-Mart version but it will do. Now I want to say that it was beautiful at the lake at this time and I was enjoying the view. Now the spot I wanted to get to was about a quarter to half a mile and this was my first time kayaking. Did I mention I am 61 years old. I rowed the Kayak over to the spot and it felt awesome. Now at this point I had jot tied my anchor to the string so I did that and dropped anchor and began to get my gear ready for my day. Yep I was feeling great. And let me tell you this at this point except for the exhaust my day was going great. Than the good lord said Thomas I need to test you sir. And the testing began. I realized that I had left my bait in the van.so I started to row back to the van yep one forth to half a mile. And I was not even upset about it. But as I started to row I felt a tug and realized I had not pulled anchor. So I pulled up anchor only to realize that my knot did not work. Yep I lost my anchor 😢. I did not even let this deter me. Nope I rowwed back and I thought things were looking up for my fishing trip because I made it back faster and smoother than going to the spot. And once I get back there was two young boys who had just captured two crawdads and gave them to me for bait. I am thinking anchor or not I am going to fish. I got my bait from the van and got back on theKayak. Now it was still beautiful but i have to admit the clouds were starting to roll in. So I decided not to row back to the spot I wanted to be at and stayed closer to the ramp. It was still calm at this point and I rowed out by a bouey and dropped my lines. And I got a little sprinkle. Still enjoying my time. But then the wind started picking up. I admit I panicked a little and started trying to row back to the ramp. And I was heading no where near the ramp. I had not pulled up my lines and ran into some branches. I got a little tangled. The wind was picking up and I had to stop and untangle pull in my rods and than paddle as hard as I could just to make it to shore. I had to drag my Kayak back to the ramp. About a football field long or more. And I am still enjoying my time. And I did forget to mention when I got out I fell into the water. So i make it back to the ramp i am already wet so the rain was not bothering me and I can't two of my rods and than walked up to get my van. Guess what I am still in a good mood at this time. I turn my van so that i can back down te ramp and retrieve my Kayak and gear. I load everything but my two rods. Yep I am hoping for a bite. Thing is it went from little rain to major down pour. I mean it was so hard i decided to leave my rods and get my van up the ramp. And we are talking a steep ramp. and this is where my joy left me for a little. you see i put my van in gear and it would not move. I lost all forward gears and it wanted to roll backwards. And the rain was coming down major. So yes while the good lord put me to a test and I most likely failed. He did provi came and towed me home.de me a way out. i called my preacher and he came and towed me home. So now i have to find a way to get my van fixed so i can do it all again. Yep I enjoyed it even after this story. Anyway in the end I want to say ty god for the beauty you provide us with the rivers and lakes you have create ty for the fish you provide for us to catch and eat. And ty for sending Kayak catfish , river certified and all others that made me want to join them in fishing with a kayak. God bless you all. cant wait to do it again.

Add a small amount of squished up/blended (ripe) banana to your pack bait and your carp catches may go up. Two benefits - carp love eating banana baits and it helps bind the mixture together really well.

How about doing the soybean meal beside the panco mixture that works for both of us. As kind of a competition against each other to see which one works the best against the other. I think that would be interesting just to see, and know. I know you normally just use 3 rods or less to carp fish depending on the bite. Maybe do 2 soybean rods 1 panco mixture rod to even better the odds of the soybean meal. Just a thought for you think about.

Why must people always remind you of what you already know to do? I remember my dad teaching me to check the worms before buying them at five years of age. Thank you for mentioning Randy Goad in one of your last bait videos. I've watched several of his videos trying to catch what technique or cadence he uses for the "Trout Magnet" rod twitch. Jeff Smith (the founder of Trout Magnet) developed that twitch to give the lure live action. I only twitch the rod a few times when fishing for Bluegill. That changes when fishing for trout. I also started watching Pistol Creek pan-fishing. I find Randy's content to be more in-depth. I really enjoy the long-format videos. Just ask Walmart to contact you when the worms die in their cooler. They may give them to you for free.
