Kayakers help save seal pups entangled in netting.

A kayaker based in Namibia captured his encounters with numerous baby seals trapped in netting and how he cut them free with a line cutter on May 11.
Schalk Louw, who filmed these rescues, caught the seal pups in a specially designed blue net after the mammals had become entangled.
"We got a net from a good friend in California to help aid us in our rescues. We’re testing it out and it works well with the small pups. In the video, Naude is using the net to catch a pup caught in fishing line and I used my line cutter to assist him and to cut the pup free," said Louw.
In another rescue, the kayaker manages to catch a seal by its tail that had fishing lines around its neck.
Louw told Newsflare: "My line cutter could not cut through the line without having to use excessive force. Thankfully Francois was there with his Leatherman so he cut the lines off and the pup was free to play again."
Footage shows a herd of seals on a beach in Namibia running towards the sea while the filmers chase them with a blue net. The bag is then placed in front of a baby seal who runs directly inside.
A specially placed zip on the bag is opened where the head of the seal is and the rescuers then use their cutters to remove the netting.
The filmers show how they hold the puppy's head down with some force because of the strength evident in the sea mammal. However each seal then happily flees to the sea, free from the manmade trapping.

IU is Stunning - Not at all lol. What I think is funny is that now days people like Look4conscious think that people doing the right think, which most common people would do makes them a hero. No that makes just makes them a good person, not a hero. A hero is someone that actually takes a huge risk or puts themselves in danger for other people and doesn't expect anything in return! That is something this generation is serverly lacking! I served in the US army for 11 yrs (2000-2011) with 2 tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. Do I consider myself a hero, of course not. But I have met a lot of people in the military that are! I'm not saying you have to be in the military to be a hero or a cop. But people like Look4conscious is watering down the meaning of hero by throwing it around to people that are just doing the right thing.

tonoy Everyone in their lifetime has made trash. Everyone in their lifetimes at least once put said trash in the trash can. The same trash then got transported to either in a landfill where trash is everywhere and pollution is high, got burned which also pollutes and if it had plastic high chances are it got trown in the ocean. Every person that lives in civilised areas contributes to the killing of our planet, some more than other. Ex: making trash (as I said before), using electricity (not everyone has green energy), needing to eat (mosty the meat industry which uses the most water and energy or forests getting cut for space for our plants and animals to grow), needing furniture (again cutting trees), needing space to live ( the ever expending cities = more land is used for urban areas + construction which pushes the wildlife into an even worse spot than before), etc. So yeah our mess, which, sorry to say this, includes you.
