Looked like you have a lot of fun on the end of the season paddle. I had been wondering how effective a canoe paddle would be in a touring boat. You see them being used by some in Slalom. I started to wonder as I was on the river last week and we where taken through a lot of overgrowth that was over the river. Those in Canoes had less issue getting through width wise, were as those of us in Tourers had issues trying to use the paddle to get though, without getting tangled up, and I then thought of hand paddles as a nice addition to have when we go off exploring water ways that no one at the club had been down before. taking a Canoe paddle would be even better in my mind. I am already au fait with the use of a canoe paddle as I used to paddle them before the Touring bug hit, and being able to go to places that a Canoe couldn't really go was what swung Touring Kayaks for me.
