Ive got the same yak and had similar problems with the steering, mine would go full lock to the right, but only half way around to the left, after a lot of friggin around (because i wasn't observant when i pulled it apart 🤣🤣🤣) i finally worked it out, good video mate

Cheers for this, same thing happened to my NextGen 11 on my second outing. Your how-to fix made repair easy. Definitely recommend 3mm cord

Thanks for sharing the video. I had same issue as others who posted a comment. The cord broke after 3 trips. Replaced with a 3mm cord bought from Bunnings. Was supposed to have breaking strength of 100kg but that also snapped after couple of trips. Especially frustrating as it snaps when I was out on the water. They’re snapping close to the lever each time so I suspect nylon cord isn’t suitable as they’re easily frayed. Anyway, am now trying out 1.5mm marine grade SS rope which hopefully won’t snap.

Just a question I'm trying to put my hand in the hatch and push up the metal part Then pull pin out but the pin is stiff is there a solution to take the pin out?

Do I need to tention the cable? I installed the rudder controller handle and the handle moved but the rudder didn't move
