The US military has adopted a redefinition of the word to include absolutely anyone they happen to be shooting at for any reason - insurgents, guerillas, rebels, soldiers of national armies they happen to be attacking, members of radical political organisations, rioters, etc. It did originally have a specific, politically neutral definition, which was members of political organisations carrying out armed attacks on civilians for the express purpose of creating widespread fear in a population. That's the definition I think we should still be arguing for, against the politicised misuse of the term as a slur by rightwingers against anyone they don't like.

My big thing is that "left" and "right" don't actually have lot of meaning other than indicating certain ideological positions in a broad way. Black nationalism is as left wing as the people who pursue it. It's not inherently communist or capitalist and it's been supported by both. However in the modern day it's largely a position of some communists.

Not even two minutes in and I can already say this : - saying that antifa isn't an organization because there's no head to direct them is plain dumb. Not only does most chapters have leaders of some sort both formal and informal, but they all share the same infos, tactics, etc. It's closer to an organization that some grass root movement (which I'm sure it actually was half a century ago.) - are antifas engageing in violent actions to further political goals ? Absolutely. Are they charged with terrorist charges ? Nope. That's why you see such a tiny proportion of left wing terror attacks. It can be said that there are organizations within AntiFa. But AntiFa itself is not an organization, rather it is best described as a movement. For example, ask the question who is a member of AntiFa? Is it someone who calls himself AntiFascist, is it someone who follows AntiFascist websites, is it someone who commits violence in its name, etc. In reality the only thing that makes someone an AntiFascist is a belief in a certain ideology coupled with some prescribed actions that should be taken. Again its a movement. Calling them an organization is like calling the vegan movement an organization, do you get it? Also, AntiFascist don't have simmilar tactics, where did you even hear that? You made a claim about AntiFa being protected by members of the state in Portland or something along those lines? I would like you to substanciate that claim.

Antifas chapters do have the same tactics : infiltration of as many protests as possible, organizing the black blocs, attacking their political opponents whether physically or harassing their jobs/doxxing them/etc. They are also masked, wear black and usually have the anarchist A somwhere on their apparel. I could talk about the DA (I think) of Portland sueing the federal government for the handling of protestors (if you've seen videos of what's happening in Portland you should know what kind of protestors they were) but I'd also advise you to take a look at what Tim Pool had to say about it, he talked about it several times. Overall it is a good summary of what's going on. However the part you show the clips of YPG militants dancing after they defeated ISIS is a bit misleading. I am from Turkey so I know a thing or two about the regional conflicts. Although YPG militants purged ISIS out of certain areas the groups that they have links to, i e PKK, has conducted many terrorist attacks killing thousands of unarmed civilians including Kurds within Turkey for the last forty years. Some people in the West like to cherish them but you have to keep this fact in mind as well. Much love.
