One thing people forgot about the Bush Administration is just how much Feminist propaganda they spread in Afghanistan, it wasn't even the pursuit of equality, actually painting every Afghan man and boy as a potential grapeman and telling all females to distrust all men and boys.

What you have to understand about Kurukshetra is it wasn’t just a war but a war of resistance. Arjuna and his brothers were dispossessed of the throne by their uncle, who gave it to his son Duryodhana. The war wasn’t just Inevitable but has a element of restoring Dharma, which, like all Sanskrit words has a meaning dependent on the school of thought and realization. Dharma brings social order, and fulfills the pathologies of a decaying society. What Oppenheimer didn’t understand is that he served “Duryodhana” or the forces that decayed society. There’s a reason Sri Krsna chose Arjuna over Duryodhana. It’s because Arjuna had the qualities to end what Emile Durkheim called anomie. If we wanna draw the analogy to Oppenheimer he didn’t realize that dharma doesn’t mean to serve without discrimination. If you read the Gita you realize that Krsna handles two elements to truth- self realization in the style that Emerson and Thoreau were inspired by, which is truth within the self. And material truth- that the material condition influences the truth of a society. Both truths inspire change. Oppenheimer served the imperial war machine and not the dharma on which the Gita preached to fulfill. If he had fulfilled his dharma that would mean to resist the ruler which wished to poison the world, or in this case the US imperial government.

This is called "manufacturing of consent" to dehumanize (the other), like, why is it when Iraqis trying to defend their homeland from an invading enemy that came to change their way of life and government halfway across the planet are rubber stamped with the T-word and killing them is justifiable by psychopathic (American sniper) that the movie tries to deem as heroic and patriotic, remind me again, who is invading whose land? But surely this is an American soldier, so his killing must be nobel even when he's killing women and children on their own soil, and he's the invader. Media and Hollywood make-up.

The Japanese had a tactic against the Americans. “They value the lives of their comrades. We can use that against them.” And boy, did they. Stretcher bearers really had it bad. The Japanese could be somewhat cruel on the battlefield, if compared to western nations. All in all it didn’t work. The tactic just pissed off the Marines and became a big motivator for the Devil Dogs. I wouldn’t be surprised if the USMC did some of the body mutilation and just said the Japanese did it. It was a great tool that the Marines never forgot. Ever. No Marine wanted to be captured alive. Many of them spoke about their nightmares being about the mutilated bodies. You can imagine what it would do to a persons mind. The Pacific War was just as bad as the Ostfront. Very few Japanese surrendered. They all had to be beaten and conquered. It was literally hell in paradise while the Ostfront was literal hell in a frozen wasteland. It’s still hard to believe that it all happened. Let’s hope it doesn’t have to happen again.

As an Australian, I could argue that Americans dont value life as much because they don't have universal health care, they have lax gun laws that lead to countless killing sprees, their medication prices are ludicrously high, food safety regulations are lax, and motorcycle helmet and seatbelt use is not mandatory.

The focus on sexual violence extends into the aid industry and is used as leverage for funding and programs that promote colonialist values and essentially reeducate women into integrating into the global labour market. All at the expense of addressing overarching issues of poverty, displacement and health.

The term apophenia was coined by German neurologist and psychiatrist, Klaus Conrad, and literally means ‘unmotivated seeing of connections’. Whether it is situations or objects, we love to find a link and reach a conclusion. Sometimes, even if it isn’t there. Basically, we like to find a pattern in randomness. There is a long tradition of striving for social justice. "egalite fraternite liberte" was NOT said by communists. Moreover, the majority of the population does not understand what communism is. So it is pointless to make an attack on communism in kid show. Amon is an archetype rebel. In modern media rebellion allowed only vs "tyrants". Any character who express ideas about changing society are tainted by narrative. They can be shown as naive fools, criminals or simply madmen. Story always forces them to lose to change their ways or depict their victory as pyrrhic/pointless.

Super disagree with a lot of this video, but I do agree with your point on what’s traditionally called a “strawman.” If you want to criticize something, make sure you are attacking the strongest version of it, not some flimsy version that will easily fold over. I would recommend you work on doing the same for capitalism, but I appreciated the point either way.

Western countries are no less barbaric than others. They just have good mainstream media to whitewash and justify their dirty actions. Frankly, the human is the same brute once it feels it can act with impunity. Its nationality and skin color don't make any difference.

A huge dislike. Author has so poor understanding of how the things were in USSR, that he should not make any videos on the topic. Main fallacies: - author thinks that USSR (and Modern day Russia) is ruled by the laws. While it's more like a Mafia. The most important orders are issued orally. It's not that important if some comander obeys the written law. It's about if he's acting as system wants him to do and how successful is he in this. So, it's absolutely possible that on some important part of the front, Zagrad-Otryads were used this way. Of course, it was not very common, simply because soldiers knew that they will be shot, so it's at least better to die without consequences to their families. - "soldiers were determined to fight" - in most cases, it wasn't true. Russian historian Mark Solonin by using the exact numbers shows that it was quite opposite. They were simply forced to do it. - "Nazi Germany murdered millions of soviet's PoW". That's absolute bull. First of all, Nazi didn't do that. There were executions of course, and quite in masses, but not to the extent of millions. Secondly, USSR propaganda didn't care about own PoWs. For them they were traitors, who don't deserve to live. - appealing to "Zaitsev memoirs" is senseless, because under Soviet regime he won't have a possibility to tell the unpleasant truth even if he wanted. - russians indeed value human lives way-way less. Back then and even now. Look how they eagerly commit suicide when wounded. Only video-documented number of cases exceeds 150. - no, USSR didn't played the pivotal role in defeating Nazi Germany. They've lost the most of own soldiers, but that's not what decides the war. - and, yes USSR and Russia are bad. Very bad. There's no need in demonizing them. They do it themselves well enough. - the rest are basically non important remarks. Some story lines were made simply to make a better story. Very few people would stick to the main hero, who's fooled by a inhumane ideology and actively participate in self-promoting. Although true, it's understandable and not even worth mentioning

Ironically, superhero comics have inadvertently promoted fascism, even when they had their start in the late 30's and early 40s, when it existed for real. What makes the depiction of superhero actions fascist is the fact they are Übermensch followed and adored by average people, acting as authority by taking justice into their own hands, quick and easy actions over complex and lengthy solutions, and defend the status quo. When superhero comics were first being published, they were power fantasies of the writers fighting back against authoritarian symbols of machines and organised crime, all the while being oblivious to the fact, superheroes were being the thing they fought. In order to shift superheroes from embodying fascism, the supervillain was created as a stand-in for authoritarian symbolism, thus the superhero became a defender of freedom and democracy by fighting supervillainy. Early comic books became part of the propaganda during WWII, with Superman, Captain America and Wonder Woman being fighters for the Allies, destroying Axis weapons, saving soldiers' lives, punching Nazis and Japanese buckteeth cartoons, and bring dictators to justice, in the American mind of this time, the Axis powers were cartoon villains, something so ridiculous it was funny to depict them as a joke, but as the war became real, the jokes made in comic books, along with the other wartime propaganda became instantly dated, as awareness of the wickedness of war became known. After the discovery of the Holocaust, all the Hitler and Nazi jokes and caricatures became sour grapes, no one at the time was prepared to grasp the horror of the concentration camps and mass genocide, it stopped being funny when the Nazis turned out to be more horrific, than was written and drawn in their comics. Moreover, the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki made all the goofy racist caricatures of Japanese people look like bad taste, this was the beginning of the anti-war sentiment in superhero comics, in addition, to creating the mass world ending threats stories that would characterise superhero comics to this day. It is unfortunate that superhero comics were born in a time during authoritarian and wartime horrors, but WWII was instrumental in shaping superhero comics into the present - power fantasies and escapism, miraculous feats, easy vigilante justice, having the authority to punish low level thugs, thwarting supervillain plots and keeping things "Normal" for average people, perhaps our imaginations should broaden, and finally take superheroes out of the war, WWII is over folks, let's write superhero comics for our times, and leave the war in the past.

The most disgusting thing is the fact that this terrible narrative about "Russian barbarians who love death", which the author reveals and criticizes, is essentially one of the main reasons for the Ukrainian war... Russia, even before World War II, tried to become a friend and partner of the West (in response there was only anti-communist xenophobia and murderous sanctions), after the war, the US essentially declared a cold war on the USSR (which barely survived the terrible war) and, together with its European hangers-on, tried to suppress it in all directions, after the "fall of communism" and the collapse of the USSR, it would seem that the time has come to be friends and trade, Russia tried to adapt to the West, integrate into the world market, become an equal partner, tried to join NATO, live by the liberal "concepts" of the Western world. But each time, she was rejected and deceived, robbed and "thrown out" as "unworthy", "subhumans", second-class people, which the West has always considered them to be.... It is because of this disrespect that the West decided to ignore Russia's geopolitical security and interests and "crawled" to the East. The result was the Ukranian Maidan and the current war as its consequence. Now, all that dirt that the West previously hid under veiled subtexts and smiles has come to light in the media and politics... Well, the Nazi cause lives in the hearts of the American and European elites (as well as part of the people fooled by propaganda) and I hope that when the next "great war" begins, the Russians will not allow the mistakes made earlier and will not spare the europian traitors and nazis who dare to mock the terrible victims that the USSR suffered because of European nationalism.

Thanks for this video. You get into some of the nuts and bolts of how deeply the prejudices of the West have been implanted into many Westerners' brains. Russians are almost always portrayed in films as ruthless thugs who will kill anyone or anything, even their allies, to get what they want. Not to say humans are not incapable of such behavior, but the problem is the consistency of the messaging with which movie goers are fed about a particular group of people

There are also US ppl on Nanjin massacre videos claiming that Hiroshima and Nagasaki were the righteous "response" to Japan's barbarism, totally oblivious to the fact that the US absolutely didn't do it for those reasons (=to scare the USSR and assert global dominance), nor acknowledging the horror that was the ABCC and the comission of censorship and occupation of Japan for decades later (and still Okinawa, and SK, directly to threaten China).
