That island business is super interesting! They also might've just visited while Drift was asleep so they never met him. Another possibility: Someone visiting the town of Utopia went to the island, even though no one who actually lived there did. Island trading is possible too--you need two GBAs both with islands and then a GBA link cable between them to permanently trade islands. (You can also pop a different island into a Gamecube while playing just to visit it temporarily.) Islanders have a pretty complex memory system for characters they interacted with and things those characters did, so if you ever wanna try chatting with them a little more to see what they say about past characters they've met, they may mention them! (It could take a while though) I love these videos--such a fun look into the past game and past towns! ^_^ Thanks for doing them

Your AC GameCube videos makes me want a GameCube and Gameboy Advanced just so I can play the game that I wasn’t able to play because I was too young. I was two or three years old when that game came out, so every time I watch a video about this game, I think about wanting to play it so bad! I tried emulating it a few times but my laptop doesn’t really emulate Animal Crossing really good.

Wouldn't City Folk data typically be stored on the Wii system memory? You'd have to buy hundreds of used Wiis... That's an even bigger gamble and would take up so much space! Sadly I think that one would be impossible to do.
