❣️ CAN'T STOP SINGING 2 || RE-ANIMATED FIRESTAR & SANDSTORM MAP❣️

COMPARISON (2021 VS 2023): • ❣️ CAN'T STOP SINGING ...
Starting in December 2022, I began reaching out to all of the original participants of the "Can't Stop Singing" MAP (Multi Animator Project). Originally, I planned on re-editing the MAP together with the parts already completed, as there were several editing mistakes that destroyed the quality of the MAP overall. I figured: why not give them a chance to redo their parts for this re-edit?
To my surprise, I was able to contact EVERY participant, and EVERYONE WAS INTERESTED! Though a few chose not to redo their parts, they were there for the entire experience.
As you may notice, Firestar & Sandstorm have a few changes to them in these new designs! I fixed up some of the colors and simplified Sandstorm. Overall, that's really it. Participants had free reign to do whatever they wished for their remake, and boy did they KNOCK IT OUT OF THE PARK!
And, unlike the last MAP, I WILL be deleting comments on this one. I'm not allowing any negativity to fester because you guys decide you need to be hateful. Here is my list of comments I will delete
-Anything just completely rancid (mention of violence, threats, etc)
-"The Original One Is Better" (Get better eyes? Idk what to tell you this is literally the original participant's redoing their parts)
-___ part's suck/*insert unwanted critique here* (C'mon guys. The participants literally redid their parts. If you still have a problem with their art, you're just being petty.)
-"I could draw better than __" (Even if you could, I'm not gonna allow someone who needs an attitude adjustment into my MAP. Ever.)

Please give all of the participants a loud, THUNDEROUS round of applause! They all came through and are such lovely people (even if they didn't redo their original part). And yes, even though some usernames have changed, these are all the same participants from the original MAP!

I'll make a video one day as to why, but considering the large amount of people complaining about how the "original is better", don't expect a third one lol. Participants came together to show you all how they've grown in the past two years. Instead, many of you completely disregard that and spit in their face by saying that their two year old work is "wayyy better" than their recent work. If someone told you that, you wouldn't be happy with it either. You can like the original: you can even prefer it. But we don't need to know that. You don't need to tell us that. These comments upset many of the participants and I won't stand for it. This was ultimately for the fans and, while we love and appreciate the majority of comments praising this MAP, there have been too many comments hating on this one for there to be another reanimated down the line. it's definitely not an easy feat! Not only does the host have to track down everyone, but they have to agree to redo their part in some form (or just agree to the reunion) which may not be feasible I was blessed that I'm mutuals/kept in touch with many of my participants; while others were easy to find and willing to come along for the ride!

It's disappointing that that the map creator literally had to delete negative comments, why should we tear artists down with useless criticism. There's always gonna be negativity, but definitely a surprising amount of "the original is better." I definitely understand the nostalgic aspect to the original (though that is bizarre that I am somehow involved in people's nostalgia lol) but... these are all the original participants... you can prefer certain scenes in the original that aren't in here but you can't discredit the improvement of these animators!!

I'm gonna point out how each artist has improved in their parts :) Saturn, your line art is so much more clean and better now! The animated bits also are not glitchy anymore, as in the previous part there was a bit of glitchiness (like size of ears changing). The expressions are also so much more dynamic! The curtains are also such a good idea! Featherflight, really everything is better in your part! There's so much more movement which makes it much more interesting to look at than the old version! The characters also blend in so much better with the environment, and the shading you added looks amazing! Your style is much more pleasing to me now too, and the spotlight is such a cute idea! Mellow, your line art and anatomy/proportions looks so much better now! The background is also so much better, and I really like the composition! It feels way better than your original part, as there was a lot of empty space there. Outter, look at that lighting! They blend so much better in the environment now! And i love your sketchy style of line art, it looks way more pleasing and dynamic than your previous part! And your style has evolved to be so much more unique and good! The expressions also feel more dynamic! Lauritonas, you've really improved in every aspect! The animation/movement looks ten times better! The line work is so much better as well! I also like that you added more trees in the background, it makes it have more depth! Also Firestar head bobbing in the background is such an adorable touch Trick, the backgrounds have seriously improved so much! And the face proportions look a lot better too! I also love the spotlight, it looks great! Also sandstorm pouncing on Firestar is such an entertaining and nice touch :) Skitch, you've improved in everything! The line art and animation look 10x better! And the anatomy and proportions are so much better too, not to mention the backgrounds! Aero, the lip sync and your style has improved so much! The background also looks so much better, that's some nice blending! Your art is just so much more pleasing to look at now, looking way better anatomically, your line art has improved significantly as well! Madcab, how did you manage to make your part even more cute? Your style is so much better now! The backgrounds have also improved significantly, along with the composition! Franchie, your anatomy is so much better now! I also like the background colors a lot more! The expressions also feel a million times more dynamic! Sandstorm covering Firestar's mouth is really funny as well Cherry, your part has so much more movement and it looks amazing! You did an amazing job with the perspective shot, also I feel like the line art is so much more dynamic, and the lip sync looks even better! Firestar's paw movement is also a very nice touch! Laurus, your anatomy has improved significantly! I also love the expressions here a lot more! Sandstorm just sassily saying "make it stop" is y e s. The animated movement here also just looks a lot better than how you animated previously as well! Linx, you have improved on everything! Your style, the anatomy, it's all so much better now! I seriously love this. The improvement is fantastic and how they show sandstorms' apathy towards this whole situation is hilarious as you can see fire stars failed attempts. Mainly him getting squished or pushed. Also, his little eyes blowing up during different scenes is adorable as well as his attempt to look handsome. He seems just purely confused about what's happening but just loves it and is owning it.

I love Tricktator's art! Fancy Firestar is my jam!! An AU I'd be interested in writing is, what if Rusty wasn't just a plain old ginger housecat, but instead had fancy showcat lines? Imagine a little ginger kitten with silky ginger fur and a showcat physique trotting into Thundeclan camp and then tearing into Longtail like he did. Talk about dainty but deadly.
