“No businessman worth his salt bargains for what he can take” is basically Kaz telling Dreson that he’s the only person who can help him, there’s no point in bargaining because Kaz holds all the power in the situation, he essentially has a monopoly on heartrenders because he has the only one known to be in or around the city, no other person can provide that service, which Dreson absolutely needs in order to get Alexi to talk, because he is the only supplier and the demand is so high, he can basically set his price however he wants, and any attempt to bargain can be shut down because there’s no risk of Dreson going to anyone else for a heartrender, Kaz is telling Dreson “I set the terms, if you’re to get what you want, you have to abide by them”

YEAH I WAS VERY MUCH DYING. I had read both books like a year before so I was just waiting for April 23 when it was gonna be released. Binge watched all of it in like two days even tho they were school days, my best friend and I exchanged way too many text rants. Rewatched it a few months later for fun bc it’s SO GOOD Rewatched it a few months after that WITH my best friend on spring break Prob gonna rewatch it soon or right before the next season comes out My bestie texted me about the release of the teaser and there was so much all caps ranting I’m still not okay bc we have to wait so longgggg But back to the content yeah I DIED. The casting for the crows (and S&B but idc) was AMAZING. Literally the best casting on anything ever. And all of the scenes could have happened before the books take place. The relationships and banter convos are exquisite and Kanej is portrayed so insanely well. Knowing the backstory of everything made it simultaneously extraordinary and exceedingly painful. But yeah I DIEDDDDDD literally still dying. Reread the books like two months ago, they’re so good ❤️
