As a Kazakh citizen I can assure that the president is the best option we have right now. World is full of instability and what we have built in those 30 years is a huge win. I know about problems with corruption and democracy, but believe me, it is possible to solve those problems as long as the country exists and Tokayev as well as previous government do everything to slowly but firmly establishing democratic mechanisms, including elections for town and regional governors (which was nonsense in early 2000s). So please support our president and his team!

@@KukaKaz He is not as weak as he looks. And what is wrong with having same background/ideas as 1st president? You all think that it is easy-peasy to build strong country that share borders with such superpowers as China and Russia. Destabilization can easily lead to Kyrgyz or Syrian/Afghan scenario. Kazakhs intuitively understand that it is better to live in independent, non-perfect state, than in ruins with no alternative but immigration. You had the same chances to become wealthy and successful as I had. Maybe you are rich maybe you are poor but you always had opportunity to change your life. Nobody apart you made that imaginary barrier to live long and happy life in Kz.

There was a really strange theory at one point that Turkic groups (Turkish, Kazakh, Azeri, etc...) were the ancestors of basically every civilization on Earth and Japanese among many others are descendants of Turkic groups. It obviously isn't true but the theory did state that Kazakhs and Japanese were the same people which like I said is incorrect, but just something that your comment reminded me of.

Tokayev is a screen, and all power actually still belongs to Nazarbayev and his clan. For 30 years of independence in the country is getting worse and worse. Young and smart people leave for the West in search of a better life. Many Kazakhstanis go to work in Russia, because wages in Kazakhstan are very low. Only Nazarbayev's relatives and his entourage earn well. Now there is an expansion of China, Kazakhstan borrowed a lot of money from China and in the future Kazakhstan will become their debtors, like Kyrgyzstan or Tajikistan.

Sounded as prewritten kids talk. We had more than half of voice for Mr. Kosanov. None of the parliament members were elected by people, moreover it is all infused with Chinese cameras. People are getting their credit cards blocked, having documents robbed, we are constantly experiencing crime. No to digital totalitarianism, that has ruined the rights for free speech and assembly. No foreign businesses in Kazakhstan unless all prisoners and serious judicial and police reform would not happen. We demand fair elections! We demand all political prisoners and any one who was imprisoned between 2017-2019 to be released. We demand kazakhs be freed from concentration camps. Stop genocide of kazakhs! People are disappearing or some tragedies or car crashes are happening to them after protests. One party CCP - Nur Otan, that speech is written for him as our president has become a china doll. Do not believe in any of his words. China had a plan to take over all Central Asia, that is happening through mass digitalisation and mass surveillance. People are being imprisoned for practicing or listening or sharing any religious peaces. Decriminalize 174. Kasym Jomart Tokayev didn't talk about his own people wantings serious political reforms about constant riots happening in Kazakhstan. Nothing about what his own people wants. Everlasting dialogues without any changes. If you can't do, just give the way for the president who was actually elected... Return basic human rights. Whatch out on secret services and companies which are threatening people on keeping silence. And also why didn't you mention that these women who returned from Siria, were imprisoned later?
