As an ex employee of this airline, I can say with 100% confidence that this is one of the best airlines in the world, what attention they put to the service, cannot be described in words. And the safety of flights is their priority, even if the smallest breakdown of something in the plane, can send the plane for a delay or for an exchange for another, since they always explained this by the safety of flights! We have always had different trainings on how to provide service to passengers on the ground and the fact that passengers are always right, I am incredibly grateful for this experience that I acquired there, we are waiting for everyone in Kazakhstan and of course on Air Astana boards!🤗🇰🇿

Flew this week from Dushanbe- Almaty- BKK. Shout out to the Air Astana ground staff that helped my son find his lost backpack. Especially the amazing lady who ran 2km with my in and out of the airport to get the bag from lost and found while the captain waited for us. Above and beyond for service.

I spent 5 years living and working in Kazakhstan and flew Air Astana more times than I can even remember both domestically and internationally to London, Dubai and Thailand. Not once on any flight have I had a bad experience. The food was always fantastic for flight food and cabins were always spotless. They put most of the big airlines i've flown with to shame. I would definitely agree that they are one of the most underrated airlines out there and would always recommend them for a flight if you have the option.

Using real cutlery is actually greener than plastic cutlery. Plus the green packaging for the amenity kits is another good move. As you said it is better than many so called 5 star airlines.

Agree. I had a problem with plastic packages, Air Astana is taking care of this. I kept those cutleries, and i am trying to not to use others.

The best thing about Air Astana is that they're not a global airline with financial constraints which interferes with the quality of service. They're a small airline with a limited network and fleet but they give everything they're 100%. They deserve a 5 star rating by skytrax

Flown Air Astana once and was f-ing blown away by how sophisticated and composed the crews are. They are not overly friendly, just nice, always with a smile even when they're tired (that I immediately wanted to get up and help them push the cart myself) and is always with a good vibe. only wish they have more routes :( As a former FA, I am intrigues by how good the company train their crews

I have flown with Air Astana many times in both classes. Top notch staff and servic. I have had a couple of issues, one of which wasn't even their fault, and they always try to do right by you. I highly recommend them. I have family coming from Canada, and I suspect there will be a shock going from Air Canada to a good airline.

My cup of tea for air Astana: Flew them in 2015 and I had a mixed experience. For one, the first 757 I flew had no seatback entertainment for a 7 hour flight. Ugh. The seat itself was pretty worn and uncomfortable. Not good. However, the crew were fantastic and the food was absolutely delicious. Then I flew an E190 which had the worst seat I ever sat in on absolutely any airline. It was angled upright and actually bent forwards rather than ergonomically going back, and I ended up in a seat in front of the exit row - so no recline. The worst bit was, for a 1 am departure out of Almaty and a 8:55 arrival into Bangkok, why the hell would you serve dinner after departure and not do a snack after takeoff and then breakfast? At least the Almaty to Bangkok flight had the refurbished 757 with better seats and inflight entertainment. And, for business class passengers departing or transiting through Almaty - the lounge is worse than a Chauffer’s waiting room. The only free things are instant coffee, tea and water. Air Astana’s problem, in my opinion, is the fact that their destinations are quite niche and therefore use smaller aircraft which are less comfortable. Hopefully the A321LRs are more comfortable.

Air Astana’s A321 LRs are awesome, modern, comfortable, and in my opinion the best looking aircraft in their fleet. Flew 3 A321 LRs of Air Astana, great aircraft and great airline as well.

Good point about the screen viewing angle when seats are reclined. This is a problem every time I travel in economy on my favourite carrier, Singapore Air even though the screens can be angled out from the seat-back a little. On a 12+ hour flight, that matters!

Looks like they improved a lot since I last flew Air Astana in 2006. Back then the crew just disappeared after lunch service for 3hrs and everyone started leaving their trays on the floor after finishing the food, because the seats felt really uncomfortable and narrow with the tray table down.

Josh, I have been following your channel since 2019 and you almost went through all airlines around the world. I live in Kazakhstan and there is one more airline that is called SCAT AIRLINES. This airline is in black list for Europe and has one of the oldest fleets in the world. It was also in top 3 most dangerous airlines in the world. I recently flew from Aktau to Istanbul on their 38 years old 737-300 and it was scary as hell. Please review that airline and their aircrafts, because they are indeed very dangerous for people. My dad suffered two incidents with them. Hope you do that for us and everyone sees their real face. Thanks for honesty again 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

We did ORD-TPE-MNL right before Covid on EVA. They we outstanding both on the long haul and the short hop to Manilla! Catering was far better out of ORD than TPE, but 3-3-3 on the 777 is a rarity these days. Crew was some of the nicest, too.
