It's hard to measure the length of irregular natural lines. The more detailed your measurement, the longer it becomes. That's also why you either can't find shoreline lengths of islands, or you can find multiple conflicting values in many cases. In the case of the US-Canada border, most of it is straight, but there are some irregular sections. The Kazakhstan-Russia border is mostly irregular as far as I know. So the length probably can't be accurately measured.

It is exercising its sovereignty to trade with whoever they want, not punish Russia for Western moral concerns.
