Yeah selecting the same powerup should unequip it, but you got the mario hat thing in the change abilities that you can assign to dpad which should be there by default tbh

You should add some more chefs to your upcoming hack aswell. Unpopular opinion, perhaps. PS. I don't like to call what you've done a hack. There's not a stone unturned, it feels like. It's the ship of Theseus. I don't know what else to call it, though. It's a new game, but also an old one. Probably more changes made to the game engine, percentage-vise, than between Banjo 1 and 2. Perhaps that's it. A could've-been sequel. A QPU fantasy, with all the saved A-presses sprinkled all over it.

The romhack is a cool concept, but it does seem that many of the levels require knowledge of the source material game mechanics to know what to do. That's a bit of a weakness.

@KazeClips try uninstalling obs completely. Registries and all. Reinstall, use default settings, try a recording. If that still doesn't work something tells me there might be something wrong with your drivers or there's a specific setting your obs doesn't like and you haven't changed it up until now. Does it do it with Nvidia recording? Also you could possibly have the wrong colorspace which uses more bandwidth

@@TheVideoGameReject i've tried exactly that before. i also tried settings from online and the auto-configured best settings. noteworthy is also that my OBS has random crashes with this error message: 10:56:58.085: QWindowsBackingStore::flush: GetDC failed (Der Vorgang wurde erfolgreich beendet.)

@@KazeClips that is absolutely a graphics rendering issue. Follow these steps to see if it helps: 1. Update your GPU and CPU drivers 2. Change the renderer from dx11 to OpenGL (side note, stupid STUPID idea, but put dxvk files in the same directory that the dx11 files are. It's fixed some things for me but idk I've never tried it with OBS) 3. Disable Nvidia recording during obs recording (if that's accidentally enabled)

my obs seems to only have direct3d 11, no opengl this also happens during streaming btw so i dont think changing the output format helps

Is a apple better than an banana or are they 2 different things and should be judged differently too, can’t we say the same for rom hacks, I’m keen for the rom hacks coming from kaze but don’t disrespect the work that went into other rom hacks. You got to remember kaze is a genius while most modders are passionate gamers (not to say kaze is not) I guess what I’m trying to say is try it for yourself and make your own opinion on the matter instead of just being negative from what you’ve seen, (for context I’ve played thru 67 stars so far with intent to complete and it’s been a janky game but a fun experience) hopefully didn’t offend anyone, have a great day
