That's an older video, but I currently use RADARscope on both my iMac and IOS portable devices.

Some nets have different reporting criteria to report severe weather to some nets the criteria may be 50 mph wind speeds clocked or estimated

I've known SKYWARN groups that use GMRS and telephone, but the majority of storm spotters are on the amateur bands.
