Incredible!! A trucker’s oasis! Thanks for the shout out! This place is totally on my bucket list whenever I’m able to drive cross-country! Not sure about the buffet though. The quality looks questionable. But the fact that they have a movie theatre where you can choose the movie is freakin awesome! Would love to try Einstein Bros. As a truck driver I’d like to thank you, Ken, for doing these truck stop tours. These places are kinda home away from home away from home for the professional drivers of America and Canada. Places like the Iowa 80 are a kinda treat to get to stay at, especially for a weekend. Unfortunately some of the more common places to park, like Pilot or Flying J, offer far less.

One of the best parts of places like this is how they can hook everything up to your truck cab. So, you can be in your sleeper and get air/heat, TV/movies, order food, etc..all without leaving your truck. It's all piped in via a duct that hooks up to your window. A big thanks to all the Truckers in these trying times. I don't know a Trucker personally but I know when I order a pair of shoes or eat a piece of corn, refill my medicine or order a part for my pos weed eater there had to be a trucker involved to make my life easier. A big shout out to establishments such as Iowa 80 for having a sibilance of home for hard working truckers. God speed.

It looks like they've finally added some fresh fruits. The last time I was there was a couple of years ago. I would never see fresh fruit which is obviously missing especially during the summer. All they had were canned peaches when I stopped there. The buffet improved quite a bit after they did their remodel to the buffet. I remember one time when I stopped there the fried chicken was room temperature, so was the fish. I didn't come back until they had did their remodel and tried them out again. The only thing lacking was fresh fruit.

Every year in December, I come back to watch this video. It just feels like a new Christmas tradition because of the truck stop being all decorated for the holidays. When I travel a few hours north to visit my girlfriend every few months, I usually stop at a Pilot/Flying J truck stop and they have some of the amenities this place has like showers, truck scales, parking spots for overnight sleeping, a fast food place (Subway to be specific), a bunch of different drink stations like fountain drinks and coffee, and a bunch of snacks and other odds and ends things you'd find. I usually buy a soda when I go there and I prefer to use cash because one time I got gas when I was there and my credit card got skimmed. One time I was there and I saw a bumper sticker that made me think of my brother. My girlfriend's town has a truck stop in the closest town about 5 miles away that's a Loves. Pretty much the same except the restaurant is Arby's, although last time we ate there the food was, in your rating scale, a Would Not Recommend because the fries tasted bland and they ignored how we wanted our sandwiches made.

I have stopped there a few times and it was always busy so they had a very quick turn around with the food and the result was okay, typical truck stop foods. This time it looked like it had been standing there a few hours and everything was either dried out over cooked. It is still food and when you are tired from driving many miles a warm meal will do you good. Great channel! Cheers
