I stumbled across this song while my mother was on the ventilator, when the doctor told me there was no more options but to let her go. Gut wrenching, and every feeling I could possibly feel at that moment no word could explain. I knew she was listening and all I could do was play music to let her know God was with her. I played this song knowing how fitting it was at that moment. Years later (5 to be exact)who knew I would experience more pain and face challenges that God Himself could bring me through. This morning filled with tears and praise in the midst of my troubles, this song was a way of God speaking to me. No matter what life will bring God is and will always be with us.

That’s just horribly sad. It’s ok to cry and show your emotions. In the Old Testament God expressed His emotions very clearly and Jesus certainly did! David poured out all of his emotions in his Psalms (prayers & songs) to God and God called David a man after His own heart! Jesus is called the Son of David. This song never fails to give me goosebumps when Mrs. Tamela Mann sings it. Because, let's face it, we've all felt tired. We've all felt weak. We've felt pain of all types. At times we don't even want to get up, feeling like there's no reason. But we wake up, we get up. It's not us that's waking up though. It's God waking us up so that we can see what He has created for us. If it was left up to us we wouldn't be able to stand and fight. But that's when Jesus comes in remind us that He has already fought for us. All we have to do, is stand. For many of us out there, standing is not something we can do so that's why I listen to this music because, while I may not be able stand, I at least can be lifted by their voices and music and words. May God bless everyone with His healing hands and for those ready to go home with the Lord, may God give those who will still be here the strength and comfort in knowing they are in a much better place than we could only imagine. I had this song playing nonstop at my father’s home going service. He was the King of our family and every time I hear this song I start to cry. I’m starting my spiritual journey and being a work in progress I know the Lord and my father is walking right there beside me guiding me through this process.

Im looking at your post. its the day my mom passed away 17 years ago. when I tell you thats been the hardest thing ive ever gone through. I still deal with missing her. god theres no loneliness like losing a parent. one so close. I didnt think id survive. im still here. whatever youre going through I promise you itll get better. I wish you nothing but peace and happiness.

Creative1 Jaydi My mom passing is the pain I am going through. She departed 04/11/2015 less than a year. She did not wake up. Passed away in her sleep. Something I was not expecting. She did not show any signs. The day before she passed we cooked and ate together, she even did the dishes. The pain never goes away. Yes the empty feeling, only prayers...
