Prayer Focus: God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with the desire, strength, wisdom, and spirit of obedience to obey You, Your Word, and Your will for my life. Transform and renew my mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. So that I can and will walk in VICTORY as I hear and obey Your voice and Word. God let Your blessing overtake me as You have promised in Deuteronomy 28:2-13, because I obey You. God all that I have asked of You in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of this prayer and all those I love and care about. Holy Spirit help each of us to trust God and walk in obedience to God's voice and Word even when it is hard, or we don't want to. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith it is so. Thank You Jesus. Amen.

I am a strong believer that obedience is better than sacrifice I learned that even as a child coming up when I first got saved and filled with the Holy Ghost I learned that obedience is better than sacrifice so I'll bathe the voice of the Lord and begin to tarry for the Holy Ghost and I learned that obedience a long time ago was better than sacrifice through the old pioneers thank you so much for reminding me peace be unto you

Personal Accountability and responsibility. As God shows me myself, I try myself to fix me. Faith. I've been thinking this to myself but not out loud for fear to be called with the sinful life I yet live some saying confusion, some saying unstable fearful and full of doubt. But I doubt that. The just shall love by Faith so trying to hear on what's what and what to do to keep God's commandments I choose God's Word. When does fixing it to seeing pleasing well results with God so my children can live the real life God our Father promised us. Cycles? Broken, God heals by His Word. Truth. Sucks if you don't mean it. Where are my results? Who is to blame me? Who can truly help me fix me then? Or do I not need a second opinion? That's where God's people come in. Glory to Yahweh Jehovah. Honor to Yeshua Hamasiah Jesus of Nazareth Elshadai The Lord is our God The Lord Is One. May God's will be done in all things always. Where this help for a sinner like me today? I've already lost so much I 100% can't get back. I don't want to keep losing maybe it's just me, but actually it's me and my family. We love God. Only miracle we believe is that God's word is true and With God all Things are possible. I should be seeing positive results but it seems I'm creating more negative ones . that is not right as Faith is real and The just love by it You can't serve God and money. Trust God. Spirit and flesh war against each other . Faith cometh by Hearing and Hearing by the Word of God. Shall I lose my faith pn account of what people think of me or say of me? Is that even important? The Fear of The Lord is. The beginning of wisdom. I speak different cause I do. Read God's word for yourself. And decide what's true for you. That's what I am doing. And all I'd suggest for you. After all what God took me through For His Glory is different than what He takes you through for His Glory. It's all For His purpose and reasoning right. But Jesus of Nazareth is still The Christ, our Messiah and King (teamwork makes the dream work right, well we can't have teamwork without Obedience to correct instruction Scholom

“To Obey is Better than Sacrifice” A pretty little song. But the text is from 1Samuel 15 were Samuel and Saul are deciding whether to murder their prisoner now or burn him later. They fall out so hard over the issue, that Samuel never speaks the Saul again until 1Samuel 28. So the question is, Obey who? Your own moral compass, or the self-appointed holy man that says his voice is the voice of God? Speaking for myself, I find the Geneva Convention a great improvement over the old Bible.

My understanding of the Saul got to be king issue was that God didn't have that idea first.. the people wanted there to be a man appointed as King. God was very able and willing to be King but the people asked and so it was... and every King no matter how good or bad was much less than having God himself be King... and can you imagine how God felt about that rejection? The one who chose us was rejected not just once but over and over and over again because we usually want something else. Saul was the first example of mans idea of having a man be king not working.. the next idea was God choosing David.. a man after Gods own heart.... and after his neighbors wife ect ect ect... only God is the righteous one. I think God knew all but was sad because his chosen people wanted a man...

In the OT era there were sacrifice, and the offering to clean the guilty. then why God is so unpleased of Saul's sacrifice because God himself commanded to sacrifice. in Saul's case, he choose to please God by sacrificing, but God is still unpleased and reject him as a king of Israel. why God is still unpleased by Saul's sacrifice?

I’m here doing research for a religion character in a story I’m developing. But felt compelled to add a comment around 6:30 when he says God leaves a clear instruction for us. I don’t agree at all. The Bible says we are to lean not on our own understanding. And we are to be prepared to answer questions of the Bible with knowledge? This is not a one off. On many occasions the Bible is presented as clear and other times it is presented as not clear at all. Which is it? Are we to be ignorant or wise about its content? We are also told that God is omnipotent, but still got upset at the mistakes of Adam and Eve as if he didn’t know what was going to happen. This somehow makes all the children of Adam and Eve guilt for the crimes of their ancestors. That doesn’t seem moral. I don’t even know the names of my great grandparents from memory and certainly don’t feel I should be punished or rewarded for their actions, let alone ancestors from thousands of years ago. But we are told to be thankful for God fixing this problem he is responsible for because he sends himself down his son who is essentially himself to fix his own mistake with a display of human sacrifice. Overall it doesn’t seem very clear at all to me. Also I find it rather nuts that so many people endorse a book that never specifically condemns slavery, but does specifically describe how one can have slaves, pass them onto children mark the slaves as one’s own, beat them as long as they don’t die in a couple days. Why not some words in the Bible which specifically reject slavery? Or at least no specific instructions on how to continue slavery as if it’s OK. I hope everyone has a good day

Brian Johnson Hi sir, I’m gonna try and answer as best as possible Your queries. 1st Paragraph: Matthew 18:3 - and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of Heaven. This is the backwards nature that’s seen predominantly throughout the scripture - The humble being exalted and The exalted being humbled. That goes for Understanding of God’s word. In allowing it to speak to us rather than us speaking to it (with our own ideas and philosophies). The pre-requisite to humbling Yourself is actually trusting God (as proverbs 3:5). The Pharisees are a PERFECT example of this, they knew so much that they knew nothing. The people who knew the Word back to front, missed the Messiah that was prophesied - due to them failing to trust God. Paragraph 2: You’re 100% right, God is omnipotent and knew that Adam and Eve would sin. He also knew that I would and that You would. Let’s not excuse that simple point - that You and I have sinned against Him. The real question is how deep is His love that He’d take the punishment for, not His mistake, but the mistake we made with our own free will? The real question goes even deeper beyond what You’re asking... The truth is would any of us have done differently in the Garden? We have to understand God’s wisdom goes far beyond ours, knowing not only what will happen, but every possibility... Attempt to fathom that!!! Paragraph 3: In regards to the “slavery” in the Bible, it is something I do need to study.. but from what I know slavery as we know it was different to what it was then - where people who were in debt would literally sell themselves to be a servant to that person. This however would be in a sense good as the servant would receive food, shelter etc & even had the choice of staying permanently Hope that answers Your questions, just pray that God gives You wisdom and understanding!!! Which I believe all, especially Christians should seek. Bless

Matthew Bryce Thanks for taking some time to respond. In my last 8 or so years I have only become more and more convinced the Bible is like other holy books of myths which I don’t believe. And it will take a lot more than kind comments endorsing biblical scripture in order for me to change my mind at this point. Instead it would take some verifiable demonstrable evidence of the most astonishing biblical claims. Many of which are described as beyond conceivability. That is what the supernatural is. It seems that any book which is wrong if deeply investigated will ask people to trust it unconditionally. The Bible does this. The Bible has a lot of components which attempt to get followers in line and to work within an establishment. Unlike many nonreligious people, I’ve openly admitted that if I was stuck as a ruler in the Middle Ages 1000 years ago, I wouldn’t try to abolish the religion in place and push skepticism. Because then when something went wrong, all the blame would be directed at me. I’d keep whatever religion was established for the masses or help establish one myself if none were popularized in my area. Why? Well, I wouldn’t want to die. There wasn’t enough technology and industry to give all people at the access to freedom, knowledge or rights like today. As a leader, false hope is better than no hope for the masses when people with no hope will feel they have little or nothing to lose by killing the one in charge. I would try to amend or develop rules to the religion which were attainable. But what more could I do to avoid war and unrest? I think its worthwhile to consider what anyone would do if they were the ruler of a society 1000 years ago which had a religion you didn’t believe in. I still think openly owning people as property when they committed no crimes, as the Bible specifically does endorse, should have been eliminated much earlier than it was. But what should have happened is always better than what actually happened. Even if I was a ruler that found it necessary to not change too many gross medieval practices, I still wouldn’t think I was ethical to rule as I would find it necessary for the time. The truth is that the most ethically conceivable ideas aren’t always viable options. I think this thought exercise explains a lot of why religions were formed. I think this is why there are a lot of inconsistencies and contradictions in holy books like the Bible. I attached a link which contains a few. infidels.org/library/modern/donald_morgan/contradictions.html And given how far we have gotten since the Renaissance by doing away with religion in favor of science, I think it’s a danger to let religions control people’s priorities today. Today science gives us far more tangible power than religion ever did, even when religion was much more popular and fundamental to people’s thoughts. The power of science today in the hands of people with religious centered priorities of destroying opposing religions or propagating their religion at the expense of others is a recipe for disaster. It isn’t that hard to simply care about human well-being without a religion.
