When I was 4-1/2 months pregnant my mom died tragically. Four months later I was given a 10% chance to live. I had a serious pregnancy-related illness. I was rushed over two hours to the hospital via ambulance. The EMT and I talked all the way to the hospital. He knew I was near death. I beat the odds. Years later I became a Chaplain. After being called to a room of a very sick patient, I walked in to pray with him. It was the EMT. He said he often wondered what happened to me because he had seen many pregnant women die from what I had. Eclampsia is the #1 cause of death among pregnant women. I told him I survived and so did my beautiful daughter, who was thriving. We both got very emotional, cried and prayed together. He recovered from his illness. We both survived… thanks be to God!

You know, God doesn't want religious people, he wants your heart. I was looking at your comment and this just popped in my head. I don't know if you know much about Matthew, but he was a very cool guy. This is from Matthew 13:31-32. “The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is larger than all the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.” We all start as a mustard seed. I actually had the Bible app in high school when I was curious about trying to read it. 10 years later and I’m watching Life Church, I have the Bible app again and use it regularly. Obeying God is of utmost importance to every Christian, for our lives are from God. God provides us with our daily needs of food and drink, and has led us unto today. His love for us is immeasurable. It is right and proper to obey God. It is said in Act 5:29, “We ought to obey God rather than men.” We are all familiar with this verse, but when we do things, we always put God to one side, and obey men and listen to their words blindly.
