A couple tips for magnetics for some having issues, apply the magnet over the first, and second coat of polish for twenty seconds. Finally apply the magnet after applying top coat. Yes that's alot, but you will get a tighter line.

Ive never had an interest in magnetic nail polishes until now... these are stunning and I want all of them plus backups! 😂 and that topper 😱 just gorgeous! Well done KB SHIMMER... beautiful collection!

i thought the same. i thought the topcoat would either cover up the magnetic effect or just make the nails look way too busy, but it’s actually a really cool addition. i was pleasantly surprised that i was wrong that being said i still so prefer it without the holo but that’s just me!!

I read a nail blog about magnetic polish. You literally have to do one nail at time after each wet coat. Also hold for a minimum of 15 seconds cause after a bit the magnetic part disperses back a bit. I bought some from FUN Lacquer but I haven’t tried it yet!

I have never seen anything as gorgeous as the magnetic Polish with the scatter holo top coat. That is the easiest way to do galaxy nail art! This is the best I have ever seen!

I have binge watched ur videos and poured over your Instagram both of which have such high quality shots and excellent info in these videos. I have my nails done at a salon but I prefer taking my own polish as I just love changing up colors and collecting polishes. Don’t know how I missed ur channel from before but so glad I discovered it as I’ve ordered many new polishes after seeing the colors on this channel and Instagram. Much appreciation!

They are too cool...I bought "Just A Phase" about a month ago, haven't worn it yet, but tried out the magnet and had problems making it work, but eventually I got a pretty good result on my swatch stick. I was waiting for a review to see what else I wanted to try so thank you, I just ordered "Solar Flare" and "Spaced Out" along with "A Star Is Born", so I am excited to see them arrive.

Lara Tiara actually I appreciate the boxes cuz it limits the UV exposure on my polish shelf which extends the life of the polishes. When they provide a window to the polish that's the best of both worlds cuz I can see what's inside without having to inbox it.

My sister said the same about a holo top coat over this, I have the FUN Lacquer magnetic multichrome polishes, but as soon as she put on Believe and added the holo top coat she went nuts 😜 it really makes them look like a galaxy!!

Great review Jess. I don't know how you do it, but you have totally made me want this collection now! When I first saw it, I wasn't drawn to it, because I am not a big multichrome fan and I have never tried magnetic polishes before, plus I am a seasonal polish wearer preferring brighter colours in the Spring. To me these seem more Autumnal but at the same time, galaxy nails seem to be always in fashion! I will have to pick some of these up soon. I really enjoyed how chatty you were in this video too. Regarding the holo topper are they flakies or glitter because I hate removing glitter...

Yeah, I think the thickness definitely has something to do with the magnetic property. I tried both bow polish and FUN Lacquer magnetic polishes and they were all slightly thicker. I really dig this collection! And I love that they also look really cool without using the magnet!

Thank you so much for.doing what you do! I googled nail.polish swatches and your channel was recommended. I am really enjoying all the choices you are sharing. I have been doing my own CND Shellac nails for a few years now, with breaks in between, but recently have had some issues with it peeling off the next day!!! These are really cool yes.. but to be honest it left me feeling kind of disappointed and frustrated. That magnet in the holder is a PIA. I was thinking of breaking it out of there too so I'd have more control. A few times I couldn't gage how close I was holding it and it dented my coats underneath GRR! Would I wear them again? I dunno! 😟

I'm kind of bummed magnetic polishes are coming back. I don't like them because I could never make them work. What I wish would come back are textured polishes.

I find that the "new wave" of magnetic polishes work a little better than the past ones because the magnet have gotten so much stronger. The first magnetic polishes I remember trying were Nails Inc and China Glaze and they both had terribly weak magnets. I agree with you though, I will always want more textures.

As a nail tech, I can tell you the new ones *are* better. The gel magnetic polishes are great, they hold the magnetic line well. The problem with the regular polish is as it dries, the lines tend to spread back out. I have found that if you use the magnet in the same place while they dry, you keep the line in place better.

You can play around with any magnets. You'll just want to use one on the stronger side to get an obvious shift in the polish :)

Any polish magnet will work, but anything like a fridge magnet won't. I use Tonic's bar magnet which is super thin and strong.

You can buy neodymium magnets from eBay or Amazon really cheaply.

China Glaze makes a nice magnet set. Try eBay. You want one with a design in it, preferably.

Megan I bought my magnet at home depot for $4. Just make sure it's heavy duty. (I brought the polish to the store to test it out before buying the magnet.)

They age like a normal polish. Thermals are the only thing you have to worry about changing on you :)
