I think there's a degree to which Jessi acts like she doesn't know Korean. Sure, she was born in the US but her parents are KOREAN and 100% sure they spoke Korean to her. She also had KOREAN relatives regardless of where she was born. I've met so many Asians born in the US/arrived in the US and claim they can't speak their native language. It's believable if you don't know how to speak as fluently as a native, how to write, or use slangs but if you claim you don't understand or can't speak AT ALL?? COME ON. Plus, there're so many foreigners who learned Korean as a college major and are able to speak fluently, but she's been active and living in Korean for so long already.
