Bella Evania i know it's a different place and culture, but that would just give me a heart attack. How easy would it be for someone to take a child that age when theyre by themselves? Or if they werent paying attention and were hit by a car or something the parent would have no idea. I know, it's a completely different society, and im all for kids learning independence, but 5 seem awfully young. Maybe 10 if there was more than one child, or at least in their teens by themselves, but to go to a place such as the shops by themselves. That scares me

Judith not that young but most kindergarteners in Korea do simple errands and whatnot, and after being in elementary school Korean kids can hang out in playgrounds, and go shopping without adult supervision. I remember as a kid walking alone after school and going around the shops and stuff at the age of 7-9

DotoriRN that is such a huge culture shock. I wasnt even allowed home alone for too long at that age... I like that it builds responsibility, but even if the child can be trusted, that doesnt mean that every other person can be. All it takes is one person. But yeah different countries different experiences. Plus living in a more city like environment, im sure is much different to the suburbs

Is this the first time you have watched this show? Young kids from Return of Superman always have episodes where they perform tasks in public independently (been watching for 4 years now). It's a culture thing plus a camera/production crew of at least 2+ adults always accompanies the children.
