I think thats because he is the only child that he thinks everything will end up go to him, while in fact naeun will go no matter what (and sian follow her too), thats make him feel left behind. In the end he realize that he should go to them instead wait there alone. It was hard for him to be friend in his age but it was 1-2 years ago. Kids his age can communicate well now.

SeLvi C seungjae has a mental age much higher than his actual age. I’m not even talking about communication here, he communicates well. What I was trying to say is that he has is own way of interpreting a situation and reacting to it which the other children his age might not understand. Same happened with Sian and Naeun. So in the end, he just gives up and follows them and if THAT isn’t mature for a 5 year old then idk what is. It has nothing to do with him being the only child. There were other single children too, like Sarang, Jion etc. It’s just a part of his personality which shows he has leadership qualities.
