3 levels of greeting are for 3 group of people. First level, keep thumb at chin, is for same age people. Second level, keep thumb at nose, is for the older like your parent or teacher. Third level, keep thumb between eyebrows, is for Bhudda, monk. But for king we need to do other things that too complicate for me to explain in English. (too many way, it depends on situation) And we have another greeting which is when the younger greet you, then you greet back with your hands at the chest level. Actually we Thai mostly do it wrong, because we are carefree and flexible.
