Never have I EVER, seen so much intimidation come from a home teams band in my life!! ASU played scared and based on the catalog, very unenthusiastic, much to that disinterest. My son plays in JSU trumpet section and his best friend he played with in high school, plays with ASU and right now, it's hard to keep it together for his boy after that massacre he had to endure!!! When KSU put that power on them a few weeks ago in the band battle in the gym, I KNEW blood was about to be splattered!! 40+ deep trumpets now and THEY NOT HOLDING BACK NO MO!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💪💪💪💪🎶🎵

In my opinion, Most HBCU bands will not play their best during their HC games. The week leading up to the HC game is filled with festivities, and the home school band will probably have played every day for many events. It is possible that band members are tired and worn out from the week’s activities. Other bands might not play well during their HC games. IJS....give grace.

Depends on the year. JSU hasn't really kept a consistent trumpet section like that, so in years where they weren't strong they would used them to blend rather than focusing on having screamers.

This has been like this since 16 where Jackson went to bama state and did the whole suicide squad soundtrack and 17 bama state went to Jackson and made it there homecoming 18 they came back to bama state and got them back then 19 bama state went back to Jackson and handled business then they didn’t meet again till 21 where bama state won they homecoming so we’ll see what everyone has to say next year if they go back and play them
