KBUR Landing at Bob Hope Airport Burbank RWY 33

33 is a tricky approach. nice video

@Juliansworld 33 is tricky because you have to fly eastbound in a heavy crosswind, until turning to a very short final. it's kind of similar to the Rwy 31 expressway visual at LaGuardia. Plus the Santa Ana winds are usually very strong and make lining up with the runway tricky. 33 does run uphill however so the planes don't use up much runway. I've probably used 33 twice in all the times I've flown into BUR

The very first time I arrived at Burbank back in 1976 on a PSA 727 from Oakland, we landed on Rwy. 33 using this approach. And in all the times I've flown into Burbank since, not once have I ever again landed on Rwy. 33.
