No male skater moves with the grace and masculinity as Kurt Browning. He just amazes me every time I watch him. He’s simply a joy to watch every time he’s on the ice.

I saw the original broadcast of this performance, simply OUTSTANDING !!! He is retiring in 2023. We will surely miss you Kurt.

It's really interesting that you can tell when a skater (or dancer) dances for the audience and with emotion. Some skaters are more technical, appearing to count the steps and just do the memorized routine, while others give so much to those of us watching. Kurt is one of a kind and is truly an outstanding performer.

Inspiration. I look forward to it every day in every way I can. Coming back from adversity is difficult but Inspiration and hope is always there right in your face. Just look at it.

I've been saying that for years! Even when you hear Scott Hamilton comment on Kurt he says nobody moves like Kurt. Definitely Scott's favorite to watch....

So grateful I met Kirk those many decades in the Bayview Mall at Shepherd...and kudos to Sandra Bezic who actually signed my programme in BC in the 1980's as a pair skater with her brother, Val (correct me if I am wrong). I remember Sandra's beautiful long hair always in a pony tail on the side. Little did I realize how far she has come. Karen Manguessen (spelled correctly?)was very popular then and was autographing programmes at the far end of the rink while I was at the opposite end of the arena...yes, I was very disappointed at that time ... BUT NOT ANYMORE! KIRT's culmination of each heartbeat of music is expressed so beautifully through footwork and jumps. Finally he was not wearing black or gray but a BRIGHT(DOESN'T NEED TO BE RED BRICK)colour (with a skinny black belt ). Now ALL can see him clearly including the audience sitting in the rafters! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2024!

Kurt lets his emotions go through those skate blades. He’s to skating as Sinatra is to music!

Wow - what a wonderful skater. Amazing performance from him like all the others I´ve seen him perform on these youtube videos. All those jumps seems so effortless and he can dance that is for sure. Now he´s one of my absolute favorites among others.

Agreed. He is amazing. And one of the best male dancers, skater or not, that I've ever seen. Love watching these old clips. I have every one of Kurt Browning's performances saved here on YT.

You are one lucky person to have met him. I live in Alberta where Kurt comes from, and I’ve never had that chance.

I’ve followed him since before he landed the first ever quad jump in competition. He’s always and will continue to be my favourite figure skater. What a talent. I remember him skating just for his Canadian fans in his last Olympics.....he was going to leave because there was no way to win.....but with telegrams coming in to him all through the night, to just skate for us.....he did. I watched it with tears streaming down my face......he will always be a winner to me!

His quad jump that he did land back then, was kind of a cheat. He had a small three turn out on the landing, which means he didn’t quite complete 4 revolutions in the air.

@@sueshow401Oh brother, review the video in slow motion and you will see. I am a figure skater, and it is obvious that it’s a cheat landing.

I watch videos on Kurt Browning, Scott Hamilton, and others from another generation and realize that these performances were true art ... not about how many quads and second half bonuses the skater can rack up. It's sad to see the sport move away from artistry and emotion in performances.

Isn't winning 4 Worlds and 4 Canadian Championships maybe as good as, or even better than an Olympic medal? Terrific accomplishments.
