Kart #4 here. It’s fun racing with you, definitely enjoy rewatching the videos. Giving space isn’t easy, but it’s always appreciated 17:40

Cheers Ross! These Ironmans always start out chaotic, but there's plenty of real estate to cleanly race side-by-side

Great job in your race making and through an army of drivers. I went there two months ago with a group of friends for a public race. The thing I struggled is the second to last to turn before going through the straights. I tend to go too wide on that turn. Good luck in your GP tomorrow!

Thanks Eric! It's a completely different than indoor karting, isn't it? The line for the last pair of right turns (#10 and #11) is one single smooth turn on full throttle, but it takes practice to get a quick and smooth turn-in without oversteer or understeer. Also leaning towards the outside tires while turning helps too, since the seatbelts are loose for you to slide your weight around.

3:41 he said "BYE BYE BYE sorry hopefully he was alright. Heck of a drive out their🫴🔥👊💯

OH YEAH I talked to Casey (red shirt white helmet) afterwards about that! Kart #5 just took the inside line through turn 6 way wide on the exit.

🙏💯 that's cool. You should have gotten driver of the day. But your mentality, you probably weren't satisfied, lol 😤🔥 you got that dawg in you.

Nice race! What camera do you use? Also are u putting ur head down in the straightaway?😮

Thanks! It's the same GoPro I use for the monthly K1 Speed races, with the basic adhesive mount on top of the helmet. And yes, in the feature race I am ducking to try and tuck in with the front bumper. I jokingly call it 'Human DRS', because while it is technically faster, it's nowhere near as effective as actual DRS in Formula 1.

Nice job on the semi final win & making your way through the pack! 💯

Thanks! Carving through the field is one skill I really get to practice in these events, but taking on the last to first challenge is not the best way to win the feature race ;)

Just wondering, how clean was your racing in the pack you were in? My race was ruined left and right by racers who didn’t know that your not supposed to shove people off the track. (By the way, sorry for when I shoved you wide a bit going into the second to last turn near the beginning) (im kart 3 btw)

No worries about that, I was a bit impatient and forced the issue the one time I didn't stick behind someone and work together. At 15:55, we're in the middle of a line of four karts. I see those two karts ahead of that line side-by-side at turn 6, and immediately expect one to lose out and be slow through the next section. Then at 15:58 kart #17 ahead of you went to the left to pass the slower #13 kart, and I expected you to follow him to the left and make that pass. My mistake was not choosing a lane to follow behind at 16:01 - probably best to stick with you on the outside through the corners and try to keep some momentum.... EDIT: Oh and at 16:06 I know that #13 kart has been slow, but stick behind him and bump draft through the last corner and the main straight so you end up ahead of #17 and #7. Then someone behind us at 16:57 treats you like a wall to brake against - absolutely brutal man that sucks :(
