I'm coming to your school to take CAD, this 26 minute video was far more informative than the three hour lecture my teacher gave us to do this assignment.

Richard Hanks 3hr lecture?! I only got a 30 minute slideshow, which took the class an hour to get through because the teacher kept pausing to help some students with basic stuff.

You're lucky. My professor walked into the lab, gave us the assignment, and walked out. In our entire semester so far (we're less than a month from ending) we have had a grand total of two full lectures on autoCAD.

I really like how you do a step by step walk through. You make more sense then a textbook I'm reading out of.

Mr. Randy you are a true O.G. (Original Gangster) if you don't mind me saying Sir... That is a major compliment from an intercity youth... You really helped me out with this video because there is no way I would have remembered how to do all of this Sir... Thank you again for this video... You are a beautiful man

This was a really great video on auxiliary views! UCS is so much better than SNAP/Rotate; I was able to get the center mark for my circle just right with UCS...I was really struggling before watching. Thanks so much!!

Mr. Kopf, Nice tutorial. I have a couple questions if you're able to respond. I don't have Autocad. I use a competing product. The "fillet" command I'm familiar with is used to put radii on the sharp corners of polygons, rectangles, etc. But you apparently used it to join and trim intersecting lines. Is this something that has always been in Autocad? Or new to the version you use? And can you tell me in more detail HOW the command is used for that purpose? I watched you create the center line for the hole ( front view). You then trimmed the center line so it extended slightly above the angled line representing the sloped surface. How did you do this so quickly? My approach would have been to offset the angled line, and trim to that offset. But you did this without offsetting. Probably some method I failed to pick up in my beginners class. But I wish you'd explain it to me. Thank you for your time.

Go to your layers manager, click on the linetype, load in the Hidden line and set it on the hidden lines layer.

Are you kidding? AutoCad can't do projected views so you must redraw manually? That's so cumbersome!
