Lung cancer and food poisoning. They'll pay some poor kids to break in their homes and rob them. Them him and all the kids will be gone from this earth. With that type money being paid out to 4 individuals every year it's pretty scary. Keep the money. Give me a masters degree and a high paying job. I want to be the boss of the prison where you had me. I'm making all the rules and calling all the shots, within the law. I rather work for my pay. Just give me what I miss. The problem with the US is that their cops have unbridled power with little or no accountability and their court system is corrupt; when a prosecutor can prevent evidence from being presented in court that would weaken their case, that alone tells you how corrupt their system is. And these same people are always pontificating on other countries many of which have far better systems of jurisprudence that the US ever will have.

We only ever hear of these "bigger" cases, the ones that have people convicted and spending years... decades in prison. These are the ones that capture people's emotions. No one ever talks about the countless of innocent people convicted daily in "smaller" cases... no one seems to care. The cases with no jail or only jail for months... maybe only a fine... but still left with a criminal record and life ruined. People should care about the "little" unknown cases... because these are the case that set the precedence for the cases we hear and care more about. Case law from the higher courts impact the lower courts, but the lower courts interpret and handle cases daily. If this problem is to be corrected... it begins with the smaller cases. To simply address the larger cases, especially after the fact... is of no value.
