The four Gospels do not inform of their ages at all. Normally, it is commonly accepted that Martha was the oldest one among the three. For example, Martha was mentioned first in John 11:5, although the culture of the time was very hierarchical and male-dominant. Lazarus is regarded as the youngest one and this made the two sisters even more lamentable when he died as they lost their younger brother.

@@ReBibleAcademy Thank you for your reply . But you mentioned on this message (Re- bible Academy) 『나사로의 두 여동생』。。 Actually . 『John 11:2 :「・・・병든 나사로는 그의 오라버니더라」 But 『Luke 10:38』:「・・・마르다라 이름하는 한 여자가 자기집으로 영접하더라」 즉 집으로 영접하는 자가 『장자』 아닌가 해서요... 한국어가 통할지 염려됩니다.

And John 11:3 「이애 그 누이들이・・・」 But in Japanese 「姉妹たちは・・」 In English 「sisters ・・・」 I can't understand totally in Korean and in Japanese also 누이means「 old sister and younger sister」? But I asked this issue to korean pastors when Ihave lived in Seoul . They explained 「누이」means younger sister in Korean

@@Sennen-oukoku You are right! I understood in the way that Lazarus was the oldest one among them in Korea. My view has been changed on the matter after reading the Gospels over and over. Thanks for mentioning it.

@@Sennen-oukoku 누이 is understood as a younger sister in Korean. This was the reason I used to believe that Lazarus was the oldest one among his siblings. However, as I aforementioned, my view has been changed while I was reading various English versions.
