...... great attempt on getting the stingray .... laughing ... there was nothing stealthy about that ... but you did get footage of it .... what a beautiful cove, inlet .... ah the joys of dinghy motors, did you get it sorted, saw a brief snippet where there was a hand with a firm grip on the fuel line bulb .. is the vent open on the tank, just a thought ... gotta like fresh brownies on a passage .... thx for the peek into your adventurous lives ..... as always in closing .. never stop dreaming, just dream bigger .. have fun be safe, save our oceans ....

Well spotted!! The vent on the external tank was open, but it was also open on the outboards internal tank, and wasn’t feeding properly, that and I don’t think we primed it properly. Running like a dream now 😂

@@jptilley10 ..... laughing ... never even new that there could be an internal tank on a outboard that uses an external tank .... good that you got it sorted and your sports car runs like a dream now .. thx for the reply ... have a stupendous week ....

Another great video guys, very slick. Although I had a laugh at the rego for the tender and cutting the stickers up. Over here you don't need to rego boats, trailers or caravans. You can but it's voluntary. Do you guys also need to have a skippers ticket? I don't remember if you covered that. I know in WA you do. Here (in the UK) you don't. Just as with the registration it is voluntary. Crazy not to really. Anyway, I'm loving the content especially at how beautiful Australia is, regardless of the season! Amazing. And hats off to the volunteer sea rescue folk as well. They work so hard for our pleasure. Truly amazing people.
@jptilley103 жыл бұрын
Hey Craig, glad you liked the video! Tender rego is optional but there are limitations in certain states about how far you can go from mothership, size of outboard etc etc, we thought it was easier just to register it then you can go where ever you like no limitations, but the trade off is you need to have a ticket. For the sailboat you need a ticket if it has a motor, always seemed crazy to me that you need less qualifications for a boat (of unlimited size) if it’s engineless 😂

@@jptilley10 In NSW you don't need rego under 5.5 metres and up to 5 hp , plus if not doing 10 knots or more you don't need a licence.

Hi, Only new to your channel and playing catch up. Love it so far. How did you like my home town Newcastle. Not much room if you've got one of those big coal ship coming in or out, can be daunting in a little boat. I understand your in a hurry to get to Qld, but you missed Lake Macquarie and Port Stephens, both absolutely beautiful. Sometimes you have to stop and smell the roses and not rush. Safe travels Cheers Stevo

I'm a much better armchair sailor now ! ! ! ! Keep up the good work guys. Cheers, Jim.

Hey Malc!! So good to know you’re still here joining us for the ride 🙂🙂 Oh thank you for the feedback, I’ll continue to add this type of detail from now on, so people have reference and some history about the places we’re visiting! Australia is an interesting place, even though we’re just 120 years young since Federation - there is so much history dating back thousands of years!

Fantastic content as always. Quick tip for loading the outboard onto the tender (believe me, I have stuffed up and dropped the outboard into the drink). Bring the back of the tender up against the back of Tocana and tie in both sides as tight as you can, you can load the outboard On and even start it from the bathing platform of Tocana. You were fine with the help of a mate to keep the dinghy steady, but on your own, the dinghy will dance around underneath you.
