@@lp3960 Are you black? It's apparent, based on your comment, you aren't. You have no idea about the black experience. He, as we call in the black community, something you are not part of, had his OJ moment. Let me educate you for a moment. An OJ moment is when a black person who loves white society and believes that white society actually loves them back finds out they only love and care for him when he is entertaining them or keeping the *other* black people in their place. He's not like *them*, he's one of the good ones. Then, when something racist happens to him, he is reminded that he is indeed still black. You see, that uniform turns you blue, unless your black, then you are only good to them as long as you play their white supremacists games. And if you L P, are black, then I, indeed, was talking specifically about you and hope you have your OJ moment sonner rather than later, and maybe it'll wake you up, help get some of those white supremacists eye boogers from your face for sleeping too long.

Ptsd?????? That is an insult to many people who suffer this crippling life changing nightmare. Some see limbs blown off during war, some are kidnapped , abused etc. I am acquainted with a young adult who will not go to their wardrobe alone to get clothes out because they are frightened , their parents used to lock them inside as a toddler for hours before abusing them. Now they will not take out their own clothes from a wardrobe unless a "grown up" is with them ( they are 32 years old ). I understand your comment, but the real world is very different to what you feel is PTSD. This world has gone utterly soft. Sorry if I came across annoyed , I actually am upset you associate this video with Post traumatic stress disorder. It's a real illness that costs people their lives!!

It's painful seeing a new story like this every single day, especially when people have the audacity to claim that there's only just a few bad apples out there. Thankfully, information can be shared with such ease now, and it's even easier than ever to film and document police brutality and racial profiling. People no longer have the ability to remain blissfully ignorant of this issue without it exposing their true character, and hopefully this means that this stuff will not be tolerated in the way it is today

They didnt even ask me anything or my name nothing, until I was in back of cop car.. WITH two broken fingers (right middle and ring) from them trying to cuff me, I had fractured ribs on both sides, from them kneeing and kicking me.. After that cop slammed me, another came and put his shin on my neck, while his hand on back of my head , he pushed my face into the gravel an concrete trying scratch me up, they were kicking the shit out me. I was booked for resisting arrest and obstruction. Because I had no ID and the cop didnt believe my name was real. Again they didnt ask my name until I was in a cop car arrested, so how is that why I was under arrest and resisted???/ wtf. Cincinnati Ohio police department district 4.. @@ayten3617 I, too, have had my ass whooped for no reason other than the fact of the cop didn't like me. Sad part is I was the one that called them trying to report my car stolen. I was arrested and beaten in the back of the police department. I was slammed up against walls, had my head busted open, then slammed on the ground, boot to the neck, then picked up and choked out, this process repeated several times, all while my hands were behind my back in handcuffs and lasted just under 5 mins. I was charged with resisting arrest and assault on a law enforcement officer. I sat in the city jail and was booked 24 hours later then sent over to the county jail. While they were booking me there was another woman screaming about blood being all over the wall. That was my blood they didn't even bother cleaning up from the night before. I fought back just not right in that moment. I lawyered up and filed a complaint. All charges against me were dropped. Unfortunately for the cops everything that took place was on video and audio. All that is to say I totally understand and as far as being a prick goes, pretty much all of em do that, I agree. But at the same time, if you look up the numbers, all over, it's very obvious; the statistics don't lie. Black people are racially profiled more so than any other race in this country. It also speaks volumes that this man that works in the department himself and knows what "really goes on" is willing to admit it was racial profiling. I also personally had a black friend of mine I went to school with who became a police officer and eventually a detective before he quit. I asked him what happened and he just shook his head and said he got tired of all the racism. There's another white lady I know who is a College Professor now that my mom knows personally. She, too, was an ex cop. The woman has a heart of gold and has always wanted to do everything for the right reason. She became a cop for all the right reasons. Even she had to quit the force because of what the higher-ups told them to do with people of color. And according to her they also generally didn't like her because she was a white woman and she had a black boyfriend. It sucks anytime you're mistreated by the cops and they do miss treat all races. Unfortunately black people are disproportionately affected.

He wants to rid the KCPD of this type of thing and while going to the media isn't maybe the way the department wants to handle it, letting the voters know this happened...really puts the pressure on the Mayor, Chief of Police and really all Police forces....this can't happen, Detective being pulled over or not. The racial profiling has to stop. Now, if they were looking for a suspect and the car matched...ok, now they have a reason to pull him over. But they didn't and you can hear inside the car....silence until pulled over (unless it didn't start recording audio until the lights were hit?). Let's clean this up, get these guys trained (or fired if they don't agree) and treat everyone with respect. The only thing that qualified immunity does for police is prevent me and you from suing them for giving us speeding tickets. I’ve heard that sovereign citizens are notorious for trying to sue cops because they don’t recognize the United States of America or our laws. This is most uncommon, while at the same time this is the kind of shit that happens every damn day in Kansas City, MO with its policing. The KCMO PD has a long history of abusing authority, especially when dealing with minorities. Just days ago another suit against the KCMO PD was settled for $325,000 that stemmed from the use of excessive force. In that incident the officers from the KCMO PD approached a 17 year-old black boy who was siting in his car on a local high school property. He was there waiting on two friends. They intended to participate in a school sanctioned event. Upon arrival the cops ordered the young man out of his vehicle. Immediately upon exiting his vehicle he was violently thrown to the ground, punched, kicked, and then tasered as two officers sat upon his chest. This occurred in 2019. Since 2014 10.8 million tax-payer dollars have been shelled out to parties who have sued after having been abused by KCMO PD officers. The vast majority of the victims have been minority members of the community. So this happens all the damn time in KCMO. What is most uncommon is that a cop was targeted, and then went public with what happened to him. He may want to retire or seek employment elsewhere now that he has failed to maintain the thin blue line's demands for secrecy.

The thing that stands out to me, is the statement, “your plates don’t come back.” Well, in the state I worked, unmarked police vehicles’ license plates do not come back with registration information. Every other officer I knew, or worked with, KNEW THIS. I drove unmarked police vehicles and was stopped once, without incident. This was obviously a racially motivated stop on the detective, which continued even AFTER he was recognized as a police officer. The video of the stop angered me greatly. As a black officer it hits home in unspeakable ways. Stay strong detective.

This is called a wake up experience. When you realize what you are a part of, and you are treated the way you have treating others,or stood by and said or did nothing when you were on duty. Because lets be honesty, you have to conform to succeed as a police officer. I'm sorry that he had to go through that, but like he said, "Now I Understand Why They Are Protesting".
