KCRW Santa Monica Tour: Hidden Broadcast Secrets Revealed

The new KCRW building was a giant step up from the basement on Campus but the feel was very different. However, there was no choice as there just wasn’t any more room on campus. It was a fun and interesting build out too. But in the end they have a great new facility with the tools and technology needed for the changing world of public radio. A great set of engineers to work with too!

It was a really cool facility to tour! I thought the “behind the set” decor outside the studios was very neat. It’s like you’re stepping on set when you enter the studio.

Thanks for the encouragement. But even I noticed a lot of waist high shots. I’ve got to get the camera up higher and more stable. I’ve got a really cool video I’m shooting in September.

I have a lot of respect for the production side of things as a content creator. I listened to the tour but I am so sorry I was not able to watch for more than 2 minutes. All in all we appreciate you sharing the tour with us

Yeah, this was older stuff that I had never put out. Newer tours are a little better with audio.
