It’s unreal how I’ve never heard this. Or somehow life took the memory. I can’t believe I missed this, since I always always sought out Gnarls Barkley recordings, particularly live concerts like Rosklide, Astoria and performances at Abbey Road and The Basement. I remember when “Mystery Man” dropped lol Then I find this gem and feel that youth again.

M' gosh a mighty knows how good this troubadour is especially if he'd written other great songs .. like whomever that unknown writer is.. that he gives unspoken credit and true appreciation to.🙏☔ Just lv his showmanship especially voice.

I love this band so much. The lyrics are so relatable and beautifully put into words, CeeLo's voice and endless talent are just impeccable. Also.. they literally saved my soul. I love them eternally. I can't even imagine how exhausting it must be to sing like this while also pouring your feelings so hard into it. He is a master on conveying a message from the soul.

@@SELINAXXXXXXXXXX I don't think it "sucks", but it sure fucking pales by comparison. If we didn't have this version to put it up against, the original would be... ok, I guess. Doesn't matter, I love Cee-Lo even when he mumbles in his sleep.

The original is an incredible and energetic track that kicks off one of the best and most influential pop records of our generation. The song has a universal and relatable message told through really strong lyrics. The live version accentuates the lyrics a whole lot more than the original, and i believe that's where it's real strength lies. Still a power pop gospel song about imposter syndrome and other such identity crisis is a bold and memorable way to kick off your debut album.

Gonna? This is just terrible grammar. Has the American public got to a state of lazy that proper English can't be used. Going to, is what I was taught in school.
