KCS Leslie RS5T Train Horn

Here’s a pretty cool RS5T which appears to have had a pretty colorful life. More than likely it was Originally fitted with aluminum tabby powerchambers it now has early RS heads and an assortment of replacement bells. All painted up in matching KCS grey. This horn is also configured in a fairly uncommon way. This video is of its in service current condition and has not been rebuilt. #kansascitysouthern #kcs #trainhorns

THAT is one good sounding RS5T! Too bad I never heard any on the KCS trains that passed through where I live.

That RS5T sounds amazing! I'm not the biggest fan of the CPKC merger though. I see a lot of KCS on my line since i live in the south.

The 55 is definitely not sounding on that horn, which actually makes it sound more harmonic since the 55 is the bell that's out of key on an RS5T.

Hi Horn King im currently in the process of horn hunting for the amtrak RTL horn do you by any chance know what type of horn it used, I believe its a P5 but im unsure. I also believe the RTL-II, & RTL-III used different horns. If you could help it would be nice!
