I still think its gray. I blame the camera/ editing/ aliens/ and of course... Russians. Or the Germans if its a Porsche color. Chevelle looks very nice. As for the car shows... I agree, If I can go to a dealership and buy a new lifted truck, not what I want to see at a car show.

I totally agree with you KC. Car shows aren't the same anymore. Don't wanna go there and see 2018, ZO6,ZL1,Demon,Hellcat,GT500,etc. I wanna see muscle cars from the 50s,60s and early 70s. The 80s sucked for cars, unless it was a Buick GN, GNX or T-Type. Car shows these days are no different than walking the lots of a car dealership. Might have a set of wheels and a wrap, but otherwise you could walk any dealer lot, and see the same shit. I wanna see a badass restomod '66 Chevelle, with a motor and suspension that you'd find in a new car that can be bought at a dealer today. My dream car is a 1966 Chevelle with a LSA, out of 2013 ZL1 with a 4L80E backing it up. Put a nice suspension and brake kit on it, along with some 18s and a beefy tire. Drop a set of seats from a 2015 CTS-V and build a nice center console between the two. After that, put some classy, but high-tech gauges in the dash. Make sure the engine bay is nice and clean, with nothing but that bad ass supercharged LSA under the hood. Then on to the trunk. I'd like everything closed in and covered. Maybe but a sub and amp behind a panel dividing the rear seat and trunk. And finally have a discrete hatch that lifts up to reveal my AR15!

I agree, newer automobiles / cars and trucks need to have their own show or a separate area away from the older ones, cut off at 10 years old or less.

Not sure I'll have a look on Monday. Its a portable lift we use because it easy rolls away into storage when we need it and we can place it anywhere.

That's Earl Scheib KC might have heard of him, I worked there that's where I learned to mix paint and coior match ( a totally lost art nowadays) and spray Metallics , back then you only had one shot of painting a car any runs, sags or flies in the booth would ruin a paint job, the Coatings industry has come a long way and there is a lot of new things. I'm not sure but auto painters might even be able to buy .life insurance.

From my observation, yes everything gets done all in the same day as far as time between coats it varies. I'll ask KC his round about times.

He did 3 base coats. I tried to put a text box at the bottom for people to get that info. 5 coats on the clear. Just didn't want to be to repetitive on the footage.
