I was born in 1950 but I remember a lot of the stories about this as a young kid from family and neighbors growing up in Renton.

My dad grew up in Port Orchard and remembers having dog tags as a child. When I moved here in the 1980s and went to school in Tacoma, they were still testing the air raid sirens at noon on Wednesday. It surprised me, coming from Kansas, that is a tornado siren, and I should be moving! These pretend towns showed up all over the country. I think it is Virginia that still has one you can go see.

Fake news, why back then? Boeing was and is a grate success for the Northwest. The internment of Japanese Americans not so much. thank you, ALL stay safe
