Man, this was brutal. Getting perfects hits twice to pull the trap both times is sooooo rough.

Hi mate, original 1.0 kickstarter backer & longtime viewer of your excellent channel that hails from old Blighty here, just wondering if you can help, getting back into KDM with 1.6 & have all original expansions, would you recommend I play the base game with original expansions first & treat the gamblers chest & later expansions as a separate entity as in regards to new rules & scale creep etc & will my original expansions be compatible with the 1.6 upgrade pack, your thoughts will be greatly appreciated, thanks

I always recommend players play the base game at least until they reach the Watcher before adding things in. If you are getting back into KDM having played before and are fine without rules refreshers, I always advocate for getting things you own but have not played with yet to the table. GCE plays well when used as People of the Dream Keeper (the included campaign). I would play the core campaign again with 2 or 3 of your unused expansions. You can use that campaign and get those to the table. Then I would play the GCE campaign. You will want to get the new GCE systems under your belt if you ordered all the new expansions as well. The rules in GCE effect future expansions. You do not always need to use all the systems included in GCE, but it does have a lot of neat stuff in there. Then in the future, you can get the new stuff to the table as it arrives. I am not currently sold on the "All GCE systems all the time" mentality. I do still feel there is a place in the future of KDM for core rules sprinkled with some GCE systems.

Is there an official rule on what happens to gear when you lose a survivor but they don't technically die? Such as cease to exist, wanders off, banished etc? Particular circumstance we are looking at as if a saviour retires during a showdown and therefore ceases to exist do we keep gear? Seen unofficial posts saying is just a flavour text way of dying etc and same applies and others saying rule of death if not clear (not technically dead by rules) then take the worst option which would be gear lost? Is there an official rule or a general consensus? Thanks
